His brain is still receiving information from his eyes, it's just not processing that information as a visual image. (Or so it says).

He'd have to do it blindfolded. And with ear plugs. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLziFMF4DHA) Then I'd be impressed.

and once a blind man could see, i belive that blind people can see just not visually sences get stronger smell, hearing and touch and the help of the third eye
