I'm half-drunk corretly so it explains everything, 'mmkay?
I'm done with exams, and pretty much all of my friends are leaving to their respective countries. I'm still stuck here Hong Kong for another semester (not that I'd prefer to go back to fucking Finland).
Anyway's, I've been writing some poems over the years, so I was thinking if I should compile a book and publish them on the internet. Poems should be read in a proper book, but who's gonna publish my crap anyway, so I figure it's better to just publish it on the internyets. Right?
Please deflate my idea before I get it going properly. I've got nothing better to do, and if I wasn't drunkish I'd see the wisdom in not bothering.
So please mock me or ignore me. That's what I'm waiting for.

You're fast, you pervs.
The poetry isn't drunken, just me.
I don't think it's publishable, but still they publish worse crap.
When I'm sober (I rue the day), I just might gather the energy.
Publish and be damned Duke of Wellington.
what constitues good or bad , differing opinions ,what have you got to lose .
Find a firm that publishes poetry and try them first you never know . :D

You can always self publish if you don't have the confidence that a mainsteam publishers will take you on.
I published my poetry here, but I can't direct you to me on there, because it's published in my Whore name http://www.lulu.com

That would be a foolish waste - best plan would be to do drunken recitals in various bars and get paid in hard liquor to keep the cogs lubricated. Better still open your own bar of drunken poetry for drunk poets and appreciaters alike. ;)

I don't agree that publishing on the internet is a foolish waste. There is a HUGE poetry community on the net, there are so many myspace groups. Allpoetry is another good site, though you don't get paid for publishing your works there - I won a silver cup from them!
With lulu.com you can publish and sell your works, they don't just do books, the do calanders too if you want.

I actually started compiling some of my poems together.
I don't even wanna trying to find a publisher. I know it would just annoy the hell out of me. If I manage to get them on the internet and reception is positivish, then maybe I'll consider it.

Erm, I compiled some poems together and I think it might be enough. The problem is I'm not sure which order I should put them in the book. I certainly don't wanna do it from the oldest to the newest or vice versa. Trying to think which would be the first poem is especially hard.
So I got to thinking since I'd be putting it up on the internet anyway, maybe I don't have to conform to the limitations of papery bookage. I could do it like the order is random, but should someone want to read all of them, they could do so without the randomness getting in the way.
Maybe some sort of circular pattern where the (hypothetical) readers could pick the poems from.
I know little about programming and making web pages. Does anyone have any suggestions how this could be achieved?

Also, I don't know what my artist name should be. Haukipesukone certainly won't do. And I don't wanna use my slave name.
Maybe something a bit gothic, but not too much, a bit pretentious but not too much.

I joined a few poetry forums a few years ago. Improved my delivery and wit factor no end. The great thing about the internet is that you don't need the approval of a publisher before sharing your poems. Same deal as music, if you got to share it there is nothing standing in your way. So I wish you the best at getting them out there.
As for a name, how about Duncan Stu Purr?!
