+ - = -

basic maths , its the symbols im interested in .

theoreticly - + = + with another - in the line so your double crossed symbol is correct in the multi dimensional sense .
It is a 2 way path that crosses a boundry .Or a boundry that crosses 2 paths . both cross each other yet the symbols taken either way mean the same thing .

How do you define a cross / plus symbol? That may sound like a stupid question (perhaps it is?!) but you're playing with mathamatical shapes to create a symbol so I think it's important to look at it further and try and make some sense of it.

The plus and minus signs (+ and −) are mathematical symbols used to represent the notions of positive and negative, addition and subtraction and in Latin terms "more" and "less".

Now a cross is a geometrical figure consisting of two lines / bars perpendicular to each other, dividing one or two of the lines in half. It is an ancient symbol used by many religions frequently as a representation of division.
