Last night, me and my friend were talking about money and what it really is. And he came up with the idea to tare a corner off a five pound note.
So he gets his lighter and lights it so the corner smolders. He smelled it, and gave it to me. IT SMELLED exactly LIKE BURNING PAPER!! It was fake, no special paper, just like the billions of other paper notes in circulation.
Is this what we are killing eachother over? Toilet paper? IS ALL currency therefore conterfeit, just like the goverments and overlords that put it into being?
Why are we so scared of a piece of paper, and allowing it to control us? Makes no sense.

Yes. Cash is a fiat currency, with no backing by anything that has intrinsic value, such as gold, silver, cows, orange juice, silk, or even lead. It is only exchangable for paper. One dollar, is exchangable for one dollar. It used to be different, when there was a gold standard.
Look at the first link in my sig, and watch the video. It will explain what you want to know quite well.

i afraid i don't know what point you are trying to make here.
money is purely a vehicle to transfer resources, that in itself is a necessary format. the evil is how money is generated and who controls that system. private institutions are being allowed to create something out of nothing and in that game only the banker wins.

People fight over the wealth the paper represents.
People fight over the wealth the paper represents.
the paper represents only itself eg dolor is always worth a dolor.it can be taded for many things its value changeing day to day. we all know what it cant buy and there lay the real wealth. by the way your glass is half full, half empty and both.but more importantly theres something in it.may be it would be good to drink from the glass, not let it stagnate. if ones glass is above half way give someone a top up. if its below half accept atop up.The gass and containts are free if were speaking the glass of knowladge.tip some SPELLING knowladge my way if you could. cheers!

It still wouldn't make sense even if it was exchangeable for gold or silver. It's still dross.
The Trojan war was (supposedly) fought over a pretty girl. That's something I can understand.

Unless if you mean that men are so obsessed over money, because it represents some feminine aspect they crave, then I understand your statement very well.

I own silver and gold coins. Though I have trouble comprehending that gold could be so valuable, the silver ones definitely make economic sense. When you hold real 1oz silver coins, you know that they can't just be pulled out of the ground all of a sudden.
So to convert a tree to paper is relatively simple. Most cash isn't even paper, it's just numbers on a screen, so it cost virtually nothing to produce.
To produce coins out of gold or silver requires much more effort and is not a renewable resource, though recycling plays a part. I trust gold and silver far more than paper.
