What does it mean by "Be prepared"? and what is the name of that symbol that is in front of the world?
Oh also, i noticed a very small "k" on the world just above the "B" on "Be prepared"
Any ideas?

Be prepared is the motto of the scouts, that is their emblem and they are 100 years old in 2007.
Could it mean a bit more than that though?

The symbol that is used by the Boy Scouts is a very common one in heraldry - the Fleur-de-Lys:

I believe that this symbol can be linked with the symbol of the Prince of Wales, the three white feathers. In some depictions they curl outwards like the fleur-de-lys, which is itself derived from an Egyptian crown.

Probably not in this case but nice find and yes, it does look odd until you hear about the scout anniversary.
I think theres a definite possibility that it could mean more than just to signify the 100th anniversary of the scouts.
Why put something related to scouts on a 50 pence coin? Even though its a 100th anniversary, for a national coin are they really that important?
And why the massive fluer-de-lis in front of the earth? Ok scouts are associated with the fluer-de-lis but why a giant one in front of the earth?
I agree with steevo - be prepared for world domination.

Even though its a 100th anniversary, for a national coin are they really that important? Some would say yes.
And why the massive fluer-de-lis in front of the earth? Ok scouts are associated with the fluer-de-lis but why a giant one in front of the earth?Because scouting is a world wide organisation.
I agree with steevo - be prepared for world domination.I think you are reading far too much into this. But hey - that's your preogative.

the ominous K, funny i was wondering how i got a state park coin dated 1913-2013 and its only 2008, then the other one dated 1371 that say's Maroc 10 Francs and J.Hainout in very very small print neading maginifieing(obviously not from 1371 Joanna of Hainaut very interesting that i would find a coin like this creapy it does appear as if this is where the Bovarian takeover occured in england weird and creapy, wonder what the warning about 2007 was and what's with the K.......:cool:maybe it means the return of the king or something because that whatever it's called is a royal symbol.

funny you should mention the prince of wale's i just posted about a coin i have that has a very small writting and date about that family line and how it connect with bovaria(not to english, hmmm, where is the real royal family of the celt's) and what about that small k

maybe it means be prepared, ya know how they supposedly have to tell ya what there doing well maybe it is time that they are told to be prepared for the real royal to apear, as in all this Europeon hubub about this so called stuff...because the current family according to old archive's where only supposed to be Stewards of the throne until the once and furture king's return, i wonder if that info is still public knowledge...

Edward the Black Prince from an illuminated manuscript
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_the_Black_Prince#The_name_Black_Prince
i wonder why it is called illuminated, and now we now where plantangent come's from huh they arnot templar or mason realy they are Illuminate so, the current royals are realy closet catholic's...and by the way the date's line up with the end of the frankish dynasty to as well as the 1907-2007 on the coin basicly sayin there time is up because 2007 is also the 700th aneverserie of the complete takeover by the catholic church troughtout christandom especialy in the Pendragon's land...maybe thats why i found that other coin kinda a cosmic thing hay....

Interesting coin. The letter k on the globe is odd. The letter K is the 11th letter of the alphabet and we know that the number 11 is important to the illuminati.

That sounds familliar. Unfortunately I haven't bothered with reading the inscriptions on the £1 and £2 coins. I fankly never noticed that there were inscriptions on the £2 coin, but knew there were some on the £1 coin and even found the translation for a few on the Internet.

I watched the film "From Beyond the Grave" tonight and at the end it shows Peter Cushing who owns an old spooky antiques shop, and he says that you are welcome to come in any time etc. Anyway he is stood at the door of the shop which (in my opinion) symbolises a threshold where you can offer yourself to the devil by entering the shop, and in return the devil will provide you with benefits. But if you ARE tempted by this then you get more than you bargained for, simply because it is the devil that you have made a deal with.
Anyway here is a picture of the shot at the end of the film. On the door it says "Temptations Limited" and under that it shows a small symbol (the same one on that 50p piece), and under that it says "Offers you cannot resist". I would say that the movie is mostly about INVITING the devil into your life by taking from him. The PTB seem to believe in this occult stuff. But I wonder sometimes if by making those films they are trying to warn us, or if they are just taking the piss, or whether they are doing it for other reasons. :-

I think the films "fit real life" kinda like what TinTin and them do on the news thread. It's not intentional, the same way as when you play something backwards, but truth is captured in it.

Yes it is 100 years since Lord Baden Powell published "Scouting for Boys", where the English aristocrat and former public schoolboy suggested that getting small boys to dress up in a quasi military uniform, and be taken away camping by men similarly attired was a perfectly normal thing to do. Nothing there to worry about obviously.
