Even though the 'devil horns' hand sign has been used by many people innocently (i.e about 70% of people at any metal/heavy rock gig and lots of photos of metal musicians/bands) the fact that the manipulatiung elite seem to use it quite frequently, make me think there must be some point to the symbol itself.
I was reminded of an interview with Ronnie James Dio who is noted for bringing the horns gesture to the metal culture. The interview's an exerpt from 'Metal:A Headbangers Journey.' (around 7 mins in)

Dio came across it when his Grandmother used it to protect herslef from the evil eye.

I think the elite use this hand sign as a form of protection against the negative energys that may be directed towards them by the general public, or their enemies either consciconsciously or subconsciously, rather than a "Im in the secret club" type gesture, or maybe both. This makes more sense to me though.
