I can't believe people actually fall for this stuff. This chip stuff is only promoting fear (false evidence appearing real). Maybe I am naive, but I don't buy the fear stuff.

You realise they are not promoting an actual microchip don't you? If you read the info on the site you will see that the 'CHIP' bit of the word 'Masonichip', stands for CHild Identification Program.
Sorry, don't mean to be pedantic but the fact is there are no microchips involved, at least not yet.

The question is why call their program MasoniCHIP? It does involve finger printing, dental records etc. building a database so it could be a first step to something else. Is to just to introduce people to the idea of chipping thier children gradually?. How is having the dental records and fingerprints of a child going to stop someone murdering or abducting a child anyway? It's like the idea that ID cards will stop those pesky terrorists from blowing themselves up.

I'm a Mason, and am somewhat familiar with the ChIP Program used by some Grand Lodges (we don't do it in my state though).

The idea behind it is that if a child is abducted, this information may help to locate him or her, although of course it will not stop them from being abducted in the first place.

As the poster above mentions, there are no "microchips" involved. The Masons simply pay for ID packets to be put together, which are then given to the parents.

They always come up with crap solutions. Here's the real solution, make education actually worthwile and teach people some good morals instead of only some math and language.

Ofcourse this will not happen anytime soon, because everyone needs to be prepared to be useful to the economic system.

Actually, I think you're probably right. The guys who came up with the whole Child ID program had their hearts in the right place, but probably not their brains.
