Personally I wouldn't chip my pets, If a pet is meant to stay with you it will always find its way back to you imo

Don't do it the chips have been linked to cancer and they are no use unless the person who finds him is honest and has him scanned. I lost one of my dogs nearly two years ago now he was chipped and I still do not have him back. Wheras my friends dog who went missing he had an id tag on and my friend got him back straight away.

Don't do it would you want a chip inside you??? I know I don't. And as Largejack says they are useless nothing works better than a good old ID tag:D

On the ITV1 news a few days ago it showed a dog collar that you can buy for £200 and you can watch on a Sat Nav screen that comes with it where you dog is (just like the sat nav in cars). They said it's so that you dont lose your dog while you are out for a walk with it. They suggested that people buy them for christmas. The typical sheeple will be saying, "Hey, I have great idea, why dont we use something like that on our children!", and the PTB will say "Hey, that is a great idea, we never thought of that".

I'm hopping to move to Germany in a couple years, and one of the requirements for immigrating with a cat, is the cat must be micro-chipped. I personally don't want a chip in my body unless its made of potatoes and bbq, and I want my cat to have one either. Some people say that their cats don't even get checked if they were microchipped at the border (so whats the point?).:mad:

Our neighbours moved from France to here (Switzerland) and they had to chip their dog as well before entering Switzerland; they tried every possibility to avoid it as they are very natural and spiritual people, but didn't succeed. :(
I have also noticed that our veterinaries have to push that agenda very hardly; there are "fear-flyers" everywhere and when I went there with my 3 new cats they didn't really ASK but TOLD me to chip them. When I said no they treated me as an immature childish person who doesn't take care of her pets.

When I wanted to buy a greyhound at dogs trust they wouldn't let me take him home unless I agreed to have him microchipped:eek: When I said I didn't agree with them I got taken into their office at the back and treat like a criminal:mad:
