Hi
I have had a stinking cold for a week now and I cant get rid of it
I havent taken any of the poison filled drugs on the market, just honey and lemon juice and loads of orange juice as well.

You are not the only one. There is some sort of cold thingy going about that leaves a tickly cough and I know a number of people having a hard job getting rid of it. It goes on for weeks. I'm finding it highly suspicious, but then I would.

Hi LISW
Sorry to hear you've been suffering with the lurgs honey. Get yourself some Olive Leaf Extract tablets, they'll definitely help as they're anti-viral. You can only get them online though as with all the Codex bollocks they're no longer available in the health food shops anymore (like lots of other natural beneficial stuff!)
Hope you feel better soon:) x

Don't miss meals and make sure what you're eating's fresh and natural (free from pesticides (organic if ya can)) and this worked a treat for me a few weeks ago when i felt run down, like you do when youre expecting to have a cold for a good few days.
I blended a load of greens into 'swamp goop' (broccolli, asparagus, spinach, tomato and lemon to flavour it, added a couple a tbsp of flax oil, if I can remember right and water)and downed it, then had a whey protein shake, vitamic c tab and went to bed.
I felt absolutley fine the next morning. Also circulating you're energy can help, blockages might be the reason your'e feeling shit in the first place. By this I mean just feeling the energy in all parts of your body, like starting in your toes up to your head. You may feel that some areas aren't flowing as easy as others. If your any good at visualising (which Im not) i think the colour bright green relates to physical health.(Look it up though, im not completely sure)

Try echinacea.
A 2007 study by the University of Connecticut combined findings from 14 previously-reported trials examining Echinacea and concluded that Echinacea can cut the chances of catching a cold by more than half, and shorten the duration of a cold by an average of 1.4 days.

Don't the spines get stuck in your throat? :D
Yea, thats what happens to me if I take echanicea, so I don't take it. I just figured I was allergic to it. There are many other good things to take. For example:
Do an inhalation over a steaming bowl of hot water, with a few drops of Olbas oil added (available at health food stores) Great from clearing sinus and upper respiratory.
"Cold FX" I have found to be very good.......available at most drug stores.
"Joy of the Mountains Oil of Oregano" also is very good (health food stores)
Minimize heavy foods, & go for organic greens salad/juicing. Include grated ginger root/garlic in dressing.
Also drink pure water to flush the system.
If you are at home with your cold, use this time to recharge your system by meditation, and quite walks.
Hope this helps.

Yes I thought so. I was deliberately misreading the word as in http://xenophilius.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/800px-echidna_-_melbourne_zoo.jpg to make a bit of a joke.
Poor taste - sorry. :o

sutherlandia
this is the herb that Credo promotes (I dont think youll find it on the high street though). I get a strange buzz off it, but thats quite unusual.
Also like others say, try and get a broad spectrum of phytonutrients by eating loads of different veg, seeds, herbs*,spices etc every day (thyme inparticular is good for infections as well as garlic) Soups or multi-herb teas can be thrown together in minutes if you havent got the energy to cook.
