My understanding is that the banking hub is the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). This is the hub into which all the interest payed for debts in the world is sucked. But it is only a hub, which in turn is connected to the capstone of the banking pyramid.
What, then, is the capstone of the banking pyramid? The answer is that BIS itself, in turn, has to pay interest to certain particular financial institutions from which BIS gets its money. It is thus to these institutions all the interest in the world is payed. Indentify these institutions and you have found the capstone of the banking pyramid.
