Who's up for trying to get an awakeing festival for 2009? I was thinking lake district or where ever?

Has anyone on here got any experience of organising festivals?
Lets come up with some idea's etc.
Was thinking of a long weekend camp with a few bands singing awakening songs etc and a few speakers where we can listen and then have question and answer sessions etc.

Imagine if it really took of and you were one of the ones who got the awakening festivals moving .

All men die not all men really live

Peace:)

Sounds like an excellent idea! :)

Arranging Festivals would require all sorts of paperwork and permissions so...
how about finding a decent sized campsite and get everyone to book the same week/weekend?
Just a thought to put forward!:)

Dont you think a festival would be better off in the midlands. Its central for everyone, good M way access and close to airports for people from Europe. Just a thought

We could always go back to the illegal festivals and raves from the 80's, no permission needed, just an unused warehouse or field would be suffice.

Hi, I am def up for this, what an excellent idea ! :D I was a volunteer at a raw food festival last year in the States, that was good, and know from the food aspect, this would be ideal (vege/raw etc), but have never been on the organising side.

Let us know how things progress, would love to be a part !

I got experience, I got the venue , willing to do the local legwork to find out if it's possible. There are some good musicians posting stuff on here so the list for bands volunteering to play can link their stuff here and we'll have a vote to decide who's gonna get the stage , this will have to be sorted by someone other than me as in a poll thingy being setup and obviously this would have to be completed before the date of the festival which I think should be late summer as I know how long ORGANISING something like this takes.

So that's a yes I'm up for it vote from me!
