In a Town near me, the Council where out on the streets handing out portable ashtrays a small fire proof pouch. The money for these will have to come from somewhere, who ever makes these stands to make alot of money.

Will the same law apply to smoking out in the fields. They'll only know whose stubbing out smoke if they catch it on CCTV.

That seems a little extreme!

I do agree that the butts are annoying and not just as litter, many times I've been waiting for a bus, and they flick the butt right near me and don't stub it out and the smoke wafts for ages and makes me feel sick.

I agree to the right to choice, but feel that's also true of the rights for non-smokers and from my experience of smokers they're pretty ignorant towards non-smokers.

if they gave me 80 quid every time i dropped a fag end id be a millionaire, or if they paid the people that cleaded the street a fraction of that there would be no problem. in the last 2/3 yrears they (labour governement) seem to be fund raising in a big way for somthing.

I'm a smoker and I agree that it's wrong to throw your butts on the ground, I don't agree with littering at all and I lead by example...

But I don't agree that people should be fined for it.

You are right whitenight639, they seem to be on a drive to collect as much money as possible from us, more so than in recent years.

Maybe it's to pay for their shuttle service off the planet as they know that the Earth is fucked. ;)

yes I agree i dont drop any other littler, i wouldnt drop a cigg end if there were a bin close by.

yes shuttles or undergound bases or maybe the chem spraying is costing alot, maybe smoking some way protects against the chemicals/ pathogens they spraying.

they should know by now that we the people are mostly poor, big corperations have the money and record numbers of us are in debt. and iv seen the adverts in the jobcentre for theses smoke free wardens they get paid 23k a year for just over 20 hrs a week!

Yes I've been wondering about this smoking ban, considering the amount of money they make from taxes on tobacco, why are they all of a sudden outlawing smoking?, I mean it's not as if they give a fuck about our health and wellbeing!.

Maybe the lizards don't like the flesh of us smokers!. ;)

I think you could be onto something there, i remember reading a joe viallis article saying something similar, i've searched for the article this morning but im at work and very limited in what i can browse as my company filters most alternative media sites(Facsist's).

They do put an awful lot of unneeded chemicals in tobacco. And they tend to 'warn' against drugs that are plant based, and relaxing than any other drugs don't they?

Cathy o Brien once said that the 'powers that be' do not like cannabis because it relaxes the mind and opens the neural pathways of the mind making mind control more difficult. Perhaps tobacco does this also.

What are you meant to do with cigarette buts then when your out? carry an ashtray, or chuck it in a bin and catch the bloody thing alight:mad: Makes me mad.

I think I'll start collecting all my cigarette ends and put them in a small box. Seal it up, and hand it in to my local police station. I'll just say i found this suspicious package outside.

Then again maybe not.

Now, if there going to fine you for stubbing out a smoke on the pavement, technically you're not allowed to smoke outside, unless you have a tin or something to stub out the smoke..... then bin it or put it in you're pocket.

None of the Councils have said they will provide any public ashtrays outdoors. If they did, that would level the playing field a bit. Imagines smokers running about Town frantically looking for a public ashtray before the butt police can slap a fine out, or sneakly trying to flick the butt down a drain or flick it over a wall.

There has been some researchon the effects of the Atom bomb, nuclear tests etc stating these are the cause of lung cancers, not smoking tobacco which has been blamed and used as a scapegoat.

Smoking helps form a protective layer of mucus inside the lungs, which may repell any radioctive particles breathed in which are in the air and soil etc, the residue from nuclear weapons etc.

Japan and some other countries who have the highest amount of tobacco smokers have very low incidences of lung cancer, compared to other countries who smoke less.
Thre is a thread on the forum somewhere which goes into greater detail these are just the basic facts.

You can tell that over the last few years there has been a hardcore attack on the smoker. You see these NHS posters up everywhere now, depicting someone smoking a cigarette as evil.

Then there are these fucked up ads:

And we all stink:

This is certainly not being done for health reasons. As most of you here know, THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT OUR HEALTH!!

Just all part of the totallitarian tip-toe plan to have total control over us. Smokers are next on the list to be demonized, after people with skin any with any other colour than white.

Fuck the NWO. You'll never stop me from smoking!
