Just thought i'd share a couple of sunset pics I took today on my phone cam. It was a really superb sight and although it was raining here all day there was this sunset!! I have a couple of other shots very similar...there seems to be a pyramid in one and a large orb in the other?

Thanks 2013.. I looked at the sunset and there was such a red glow about it and it had been raining all day..I was in somebody's garden so I could not linger about too much...I have never witnessed anything like it before.. I wanted to be in the same location at the same time today but could not make it..I took this pic this morning on my way to work.....

That sun is really fired up.
Sunsets are never as dark as they used to be.

Interesting story about The Winter Solstice period......
The ancient Romans also held a festival to celebrate the rebirth of the year. Saturnalia ran for seven days from the 17th of December. It was a time when the ordinary rules were turned upside down. Men dressed as women and masters dressed as servants. The festival also involved decorating houses with greenery, lighting candles, holding processions and giving presents.

Can You see the Roman head in the first pic?
