I want to know if anyone has any idea how to build a small device that can be concealed on the body and generate static electricity that will allow tiny bolts of electricity to jump from one hand to the other. I am familiar with Yigal Mesika's work with Electric Touch, but my idea is a step further.

PM me with ideas or if you actually know how to do this.

Just walk about on a nylon carpet in non-leather soled shoes. You'll build up a very nice charge and be your very own battery.

LOL
I'm looking for a much more elaborate item.

Also, I'm not speaking of a charge that can be seen jumping from one person to another. I'm speaking of creating a charge that can be seen jumping from one's right hand to their left hand.

You would need a small insulated cable going across one of you hands to the center of a insulated pad on the tip of your finger. This would easy to spot under any scrutiny.

the charge could be generated using a starter out of a gas cooker or for a smaller spark one out of a flint less lighter.

I was going to reply to this before I realised what an idiot I am.

You could carry a piece of carpet around in your pants, Dankai :D

that was creative nonetheless.

You would also need to wear a rubber glove as the reason people collect static from carpets is due to their rubber soles. It's the same way the van de graph generator works. I can't remember exactly how though.

Is this a question from the eighties? I fashioned one with a B&H pack for arcade games. I was seven at the time.

I know a guy who's well into all kinds of electrical stuff like Tesla coils and van der Graaff generators etc, people call him "The Prof". He might have some ideas but it's a long time since I've been in touch with him.

Not the way you think. I don't want a charge that will show when touching another person. I want the spark to show when you hold your own two hands in close proxy.
