Hi, i am new here, first post. This may be totally nothing and you may think i am being paranoid but there are two tiny tiny things that i have come across whilst at work.
I work for wilkinsons retail company in the UK, a multi-billion pound company. Now the history of the company tells of a rags to riches transformation of the founding father of the company JK Wilkinson. I am always dubious of such tales because i believe it is very hard to 'make it' in this country or in this world without 'help'. I am of course talking about the hidden hand, the elite. call it what you will.
Anyway i wonder about Wilkinsons intentions: Check out their visions and values for example: http://corporate.wilkinsonplus.com/corp/images/pageimages/hires/vision_values2.gif
The "beyond reason" bit is what got me thinking. It sounds suspect to me, definitely not the vision of a company with high moral standards at least. In "every community"... none of it sounds very good does it. It may be nothing, just wondered what you guys thought of it.
Also whilst in the stockroom the other day i saw on the back of a pack of Aerial washing up liquid that it contained 666ml. I have a photo of this but not sure how to get it up on here. Again could be nothing but i wouldn't have thought it good for sales for a company to have 666 on their products in plain view.
Just wondered what you guys thought.
thanks :)
