I don't really know if this is where I should post this, but I thought maybe it has to do with programming or deprogramming, so I posted it here.
Some background firstly...
I'm 34 years old. I am a Sales Director, I also create illusions that are used in street magic performances by top ticket performers. I'm a history buff, love strategic games (chess, othello, etc).
As of late I have been having moments where I'll forget something I would normally not have. It's not the simple "where did I leave my keys" episodes that most people have. I know me. I know what to expect of myself. For instance, I'll start singing to a song that I know by heart and forget the words completely! Not just with one song, but with many. It's almost like I was focusing and then something totally interrupted my thoughts.
Any feed back is welcomed.

I have been forgetting A LOT of things lately. I figured it was just because I have a lot on my mind at the moment or that I'm really busy lately, but there could be another reason.

I have long believed that many things having to do with the brain are affected by external waves of energy. For instance, headaches, dizziness, hearing sounds (humming, distant static sounds, etc) and I wanted to know if this could be along the same lines.

A few days ago, out of nowhere I was hit with a sudden surge of energy. My mind went completely blank and I mean blank, no thoughts what so ever, like my brain had freezed. My internet connection got disconnected at the same time as well.
I have no explanation for this, other than I was tired...

Internet was disconnected too? I would think the explaination is more than just you being tired. Speaking of that experience you had, it reminded me of something. I was driving home with my wife in the passenger seat and my 2 year old daughter in the back child seat. I'm driving down the road and kind of what you said happened to me. I could feel everything slowly dimming away from my sight and I felt like I was being lifted out of myself. I couldn't even speak! As fast as this sensation/experience came it has just as quickly passed. My hands still on the steering wheel, going the speed limit, I looked at my wife and she looked at me. My eyes were wide open and she asked me if I was alright. I nodded and just didn't know how to explain what just happened.

Maybe some are just more sensitive to radiation from electronic equipment.

I've been shocked at some of the things that have completely slipped my mind in the last year or so. I have always thought I had a high level of awareness and good memory. For me, I think it might have something to do with stress and diet.
Oh and I am so happy to see another Delawarean here! I moved here last year. :D

This is just my opinion but my intuition is saying that you are starting to experience what many people call "ascention symptoms". Things like headaches can be attributed to the upper chakras opening up.
I too have gone through some of the things that you are experiencing. I felt ok during the process because something inside of me told me that I was letting go of the old dense me so that I could become more of a light being. There are threads about this in the Healing and Ascention sub-forums if you would like to read more.
I would like to thank you for sharing this as I feel that alot of positive things are going to come out of this for you.

My girlfriend is constantly taking the P out of me because of my terrible short term memory. Long term memory fine, but sometimes I won't remember things that happened in the immediate past. Really OBVIOUS things too.
I do drink a hell of a lot of water and have often wondered about the effects of flouride but not sure if memory is effected.

And come to think about it, I can remember so many things from so long ago, but like you mentioned, recalling things in the immediate past have actually become a bit difficult. So frustrating at times.

Seriously, I have had some really embarrassing moments due to this
I've been meaning to look into it for a while. I think now's the time considering it's happening to so many people.
I mean I know the Nazis loved flouride as it subdued people, seems like a similar effect.

Delaware is quite toxic in some areas; I hope you aren't drinking Delaware tap water:eek:
Flouride does affect memory:
5) The findings of neurological effects in fluoride-exposed humans is consistent with, and strengthened by, recent findings from over 40 animal studies published since 1992. As with the studies on humans, the studies on animals have reported an impairment in learning and memory prorcesses among the fluoride-treated groups.
There is some info about the effects of flouride on the brain in this link:

Nice site, thanks!!
I usually have an excellent long and short term memory but of late have been having lapses.Like you say something will suddenly seem to be removed from memory like song lyrics book or film plot etc . It appears to me as if it is suddenly taken .I will be busy doing something thinking of a subject and the n space out. I put it down in part to medical treatment i was having , not drugs just after effects of treatment . So perhaps there is more to it . :D

I do buy spring water by the gallon. I only give that kind of water to my 2 yr old daughter. I don't ever give her tap water. I am guilty of drinking the DE tap water. Maybe I should invest in a filtration system or something.

Exactly the reason I initially posted this thread. I believe our brains are transmitters and receivers and what I'm experiencing (as well as others) has something to do with that technology.

Yeah like cellphones.
Electrical activity is increased on the side of the brain where a cell phone is used, and it usually takes about an hour to wear off. Has anyone noticed that these 'blank outs' come at times correlating to cell phone use?

I'm experiencing the opposite to some extent. Where as I had a part of my memory. Which was connected to being creative lay dormant and undeveloped. I now seem to be able to remember more of my creativity. Also I have noticed that whereas before I could become distracted and lose what it was I was trying to do. I now am able to retrieve the thought which I thought was gone.

Wow interesting thought, I too drink a lot of water and have been experiencing occasional memory loss and lack of concentration of the mind. Also I feel like my brain is slowing down, when I speak I know what i'm going to say but sometimes my words get mixed up (i.e. verbal dyslexia) The odd thing is I never used to get it and now it happens frequently.
You could be right with the water, my theory was my mobile phone, I am a heavy user.

You and I are two peas in a pod, except I was 28 when I stared to go to my doctor about my 'bad memory' ( or as my friends call it, a 'senior's moment' or 'brain farts' :o ) the only answer I got after a bunch of tests was, 'sensory overload'!

I’ve been like that all my life…Even the school teachers wrote me off as a no-hoper…With songs etc I can only recall one or two lines…I struggle with the names of unfamiliar people so it’s truly amazing that I still remember my own family members names…If someone’s talking to me when I’m cooking I’ll burn the meal…Same with other chores, if I’m distracted while doing something then I loose track of what I’m doing…Quite a few times I’ve walked inside a room to fetch / do something then I’ve stood still and wondered “What the heck was I gonna do?”...I’m forever re-checking my spelling because I have a bad habit of writing words in the wrong order like waht instead of what…I have to create a routine for my myself and organize things so that I know where to find keys etc…
So it won’t be long before I’m being micro-chipped without my knowing it and stamped with a way past the use-by date and sent off to the big carousel in the sky…
I used to wonder if my bad memory was due to genetics or the unexplained scar that I’ve had on my forehead since birth.
However after reading the other posts here I've now got something else to think / fret about…Thanx a lot you guys…:( ;) :D

i've kinda had that. My is more of forgetting things that i would usually remember that are important. Usually when i am talking to people about something, certain things that may be very intresting to the subject or kinda change the whole situation. I thought it could've been just me forgetting. Maybe its something esle. But as far as i know, there is no chip inside me. you will have to kill me to put that fucking thing inside me.

I would from personal experience say, that it is to do with consuming the wrong kinds of fats, such as dairy products. Also lay off of the alcohol etc. Try to increase the omega 3 fatty acid intake. Although I've not used them you can get it in high concentrations as a supplement.
