Why is it when you write something in a thread that someone feels the need to make some sarcy comment and try to have a go and make them self look clever.
To me a better/enlightened person would just ignore it and let it be.
And there are certain "people" on here that do this.

Either they are to sure to what they are talking about, or the opposite, they are fearing that they are wrong:rolleyes:

I think it's more a need for attention or a feeling of inadequacy. It's best just to avoid them and move on.

Yes, I agree with you 100%. I don't like it either, but I have been guilty of it myself before. We should all try and be more respectful towards each other, especially when we disagree... A House some where, on foreign soil, where aging lovers toil...

I feel exactly the same way and would like an answer as well. Some users appear to frequent this site for the specific purpose of being insulting and offensive. I would assume they do it in order to feed some enormous ego of theirs, but generally when I want to voice my opinion I try to do it in a way that challenges ideas as opposed to attacking people. This doesn't appear to be the norm for some. In fact, the utter hostility I've seen circulated on this site by a relatively small but loud group of individuals has deterred me from posting at times. I'm not afraid of ridicule, but when I know I'm going to be senselessly attacked I do feel rather discouraged from making any attempt in the first place. It's all fine and dandy to say you love people, but if your words and actions don't reflect that love, it doesn't make a very large impression- at least not on me.
Of course, I do recognize the users on this forum that are respectful in their disagreements, and we do have a lot of good discussion here, so I don't think this is an extremely pervasive issue overall. :]

Saying things that are deliberately hurtful and mean to others, does not help humanity as a whole. If we as a society are going to work towards creating a better future, then we must learn not to be hurtful and mean to others, even though we may disagree with them. Sure, we can merely over look those who act in a negative manner, but it takes everyone's participation to really effect change. I'm quite certain that many here on this forum are interested in making a better future, preferably one without some Babylonian style dictator ruling our every move. Isn't that what the awakening movement is really about? Are we not trying to create change? Or, are we following the example of those politicians with their colorful cardboard signs saying "We Are Change". I thought the awakening movement was about actually changing something, but perhaps I'm wrong. See my point? Thus, it's my conclusion there's nothing wrong with a person wanting to start a discussion about people who say hurtful and mean things to others, which are not helping, those of us who care, to change things.

Take it with a pinch of salt.
I once got ripped into by a guy on a forum. I was younger then and I felt hurt, then I checked the profile and he was like 11.
I figured then that anything which you allow to have influence upon your feelings, is your own choice.
Sure there are wankers out there, but the wankers are there to show you what not to be.
They provide a service same as roaches.

I don't think people want to hurt others.
It's just not always easy to deal with the hurt inside oneself.
Lashing out at others might bring some temporary relief.
It will pass when one starts to realize it is no longlasting substantional solution.
In my opinoin there is no wickedness nor evil, only ignorance and lack of education.

So, when the ruling class wants to murder millions through genocide, it's not wicked or evil, they are just ignorant with a lack of education?

People react with a sarcy comment, because they have no humor, Try to have a go, because they they are weak, and try to make themselves look clever because, to try reasure themselves they are not stupid.

it just seems stupid to make enemies when a slightly different approach will make you friends, friends are much more useful. It would be great if everyone believed they were responsible for other peoples feelings as well their own.

I don't know - but you'd have to be thick skinned not to let this kind of pathetic response bug you, don't you think? There really is no need for it, it's seriously off putting for new members. :(

Because some hold grudges from other threads years ago even from other forums and will use that as an excuse.
Mis placed humour.
Or sometimes if a post is obvious disinfo then someone may feel the need to put it right.
Not a good answer but there you go.

It's a trait thats common among beings.
By hurting someone you gain control over the person. But if you allow that person to make you feel inferior then you give them the power over you.
It's not easy to ignore that negative energy thrown at you but you can shield yourself.
I protect myself by forming an aura of opague white essence and that deflects someone elses energy - but when I am vulnerable I struggle with it.
Try it - all you need to do is call on your Guardian Angel and also on the Mother Divine. a simple thought does the trick:)
Just deflect - and remember this silence is golden - sometimes you don't need to respond to someone who makes you inferior - let them have a go while you enjoy the wind or the warmth of the sun.:)
