Why do some people quote a MASSIVE post, only to respond to it with few lines, one sentence or just few words..!!
Seriously, why?
Why not just rip stuff from the quote..??
It's annoying, and it's not like we didn't read the message ourselves..
Something like this..!!

Since mushroomrobot stole my gag I'm forced to actually type some shit...
Short answers can inject a sense of warmth and genuine human interaction into a thread, kind of like when you're sitting in a booth pissed in a club and knocking heads with a drunk mate talking about how fucking good Warnie is and he says 'That ball that knocked over Gatting says everything about why Australia is better than England!' and you just look him in the bleary eye between sucks on a VB and nod 'Agreed'.
By the way - one word answers are frowned upon according to Forum Guidelines so don't behave the way you would in a club or risk death from a Nerf Cannon.

Personally I hate the way people split up posts on every single question/remark with a snappy comeback or reply, especially if they are 'trying' to be funny.
like this
blah blah
snappy comeback
more blah
I agree
etc
Ive found a lot of obnoxious people do it

I think it's a waste of space and annoying quoting an assloadely long text. I prefer the option Disorder2k8 dislikes. And I do it too so I must be one of the obnoxious people he's referring to.

Surely you can't be serious?
No!
That is one of my pet:D hates, the incorrect use of apostrophes. Wtf is happening in our schools.

Convenience would be the right word... press the 'Quote' button.. a few words... a smiley... another quick thread posted... beautiful!!!
Don't worry about subsequent pollution or spamming! :)
Some say the sheeple are drowning in their own junk... but who cares??

Sometimes, for me, if I just take from the bits that I might disagree or agree with and point those bits out. It just means that I dont have a problem with the rest of the stuff in the former post that I am commenting on.
Also, as to spulling, shurely its the kontent dat countz?

The only time quoting annoys me and others is when a person quotes a HUGE post containing multiple pictures straight after the OP!
Just seems kind of pointless getting everything twice, and those on dialup (yes there are a few on the forum) have a hard time with page loads.
Why not quote the dialogue and just delete the jpgs out of it before posting?
Being thoughtful of others really makes a huge difference to the flow of forum threads. :)
