It has occurred to me that if there is only now then there is no past and no future, no time travel and no karma! What goes around cannot come around if there is only now!

Your thoughts please!

And PS: I just learned that tags cannot be "common" words like being or now. Why not?

Exactly

especially Karma. Karma is only there so long as you believe there is a past you can be punished for in the future, and both don't exist.

Isn't each frame in the image a 'now'? How many frames a second can the human eye see?

We are always in the now but that doesn't mean the past and the future do not exist.

Agreed.

There is a past and a future as such, but both are occurring in the same moment as the present.

Only when actions and effects have ceased, even though we can live in the moment,we are still sowing actions and reaping their effects:)

I think there is a difference from the "now" that we percieve and the ETERNAL NOW that higher consciousness percieves, I think that includes all possible pasts and futures,..

This is not exactly tue.

With some esoteric research you'd know that Karma is a real system that governs, or is part of the government between the physical and the astral plains, ruling the wheel of life and death.
Practically, past and future don't exist but they do exist as part of this virtual reality because they are simulated. Therefore the past is akin to another dimension and the future is future, because events have to apply to certain rules from the past.
For example, if you commit a crime it only has the consequence of you going to jail for the next few years, and knowing about the future of it, because it's a rule of the set-up system.
You can predict the future of the weather because it is bound to the laws of physics, not free-will.
The opposite you will find, if in the 'now' you want something, and you decide to save it for later but you later realize that it doesn't have the same value for you, because you have tried to bypass the 'now' of your emotional-body which has no past or future. (Sometimes of course the brain can simulate bad emotions from the past).

But of course, forget about all of this if you believe that we-create-our-own-lala-land and hence nothing is real outside of what we believe.

The now is like a video player playing a DVD. The DVD contains a past. Just as a real DVD is digital memory, the actual past too is digital memory. A DVD of course does not contain actual time, but when played time is experienced. EDIT: The difference between a real DVD and the now, is that in a real DVD the future is already determined while the real future is only partly determined at each moment.

When I was on Salvia I got the impression that the past present and future are existing at all times and constantly played out, I think that because we are trapped in the Maya that this continues in terms of our incarnations. This made me wonder if we can only be liberated from this system by outside help.

very good observation.

That's true and it's coming to an end right now. We the prisoners would only constantly run around in circles cause once in you've been lowered your vibrations and trapped in the wheel you're not going out until the entire system collapses.
