My son is doing a topic about Ancient Egypt at school - he is nine, nearly ten.
Anyway, he is finding it really interesting, which is fine. He has become almost obsessed with Horus and the Eye of Horus and keeps drawing it on his stuff. He asked me to help him make some papyruses, so we did the soaking screwed up paper in tea bit and we are waiting for it to dry out.
He wants to make it into scrolls about guess who - Horus. He even made a sign to put by them as they are drying out (my brother and his girlfriend are staying). The sign says "DO NOT THROW THESE AWAY" Guess what he has drawn underneath it, that's right, The Eye of Horus.
His school are having an Egyptian day when the kids can dress up, they are making masks of Pharohs and gods, he wants me to help him make an Eye of Horus medallion.
To top it all off, he has made a pyramid money box with the Eye of Horus on it. He has an illuminati money box, how bloody bizarre is that. Did my son become a Freemason while I wasn't looking
Does anyone think this is strange?

You are right. I was watching Timmy's Fairly Odd Parents on Nicktoons the other day and the teacher mentioned the New World Order, there are loads of subliminals on Nicktoons aswell.

Your right, there is a lot of direct and subliminal programming that goes on through cartoons and television. I have a 4 year old son and the difference of how he probably perceives the symbolism in the movies and what I see in them is probably enormous.
I guess enlightened parents like me and you have a duty to be critical of the school system and how it presents information to our kids. I intend to educate my son about this stuff bit by bit when he gets old enough to understand this. This information about the controlling force of the world is far too extreme for young innocent minds to handle just yet :)

HORUS is older than Freemasonry, bet that. Look in the sky to outer space as they say. Has it made him act violently or behave unacceptably? Don't get confused by what I said, you are a good parent for taking notice and being aware.

just make sure you go through his school! be sure he is not being taught incorrectly with beliefs instead of facts!

Thanks people, it's nice to have your opinions, I though I woulld make a thread about it, as I guess it illustrates nicely how powerful symbols can be.
My son is not acting at all violently, it is nice that it has inspired him creatively - I have just been downstairs and the tea stained crumpled paper is dry and ready to draw on :)
Both me and my parents have bought him a couple of books about the Egyptians, again, it's good that he is inspired to read about them and find out more, it has really fired up his imagination, but then, he is that kind of boy.
The other day on Nicktoons there was one of their own little animations they put on between programs and it had a boy brushing his teeth, next to him was a cartoon character brushing his brain - brainwashing!!!

so true. that is why the elite always seek to mould them at an early age and condition them.. i always personally believed children are much wiser than we think.
methinks you should encourage your son and start teaching him what you know, little by little (when he is older of course). otherwise the brainwashing tool called education will eliminate the wisdom he has, slowly but surely.
he already thinks there is something more to that symbology :) that in itself, is a good start, as long as you're there to guide him.

If it were me, and you wish to plant a seed. Get some second hand copies of books with differing opinions on Egyptology and give them to him for Christmas. Second hand books are great gifts, if he has differing viewpoints to deal with, it will force him into deciding for himself what he wishes to believe, rather than simply learning what they wish him to believe.
If some of it is to old for him at the moment, you could spend some time together talking about why one book says the pyramids are xyz years old and another one says they're abc years old. A great way to have cool time with your family with the tv off.

Seems you are correct compadre.
I have to agree with others here saying that children seek out mysterious stuff, I was certainly obsessed with everything paranormal when I was a juve, the only thing is this was the time of X-files and the emergance of the dark side of UFOlogy and the general fervour around the time of ID4 and such. Thus no book I read ever went anywhere into explaining the various phenomena and when it did the explaination just seemed contrived....it was only later when I looked into the agenda and the world in terms of the planes of consciousness that my mind could feel comfortable with more than one phenomenon existing at once. For example when I was a kid the concept of aliens on Earth seemed reasonable (in fact I couldant understand how people couldant seem to accept the possibility) in terms of a real biological race with spaceships. But this didnt sit with my interest in spirits and mythical creatures etc... they could not exist on the same planet as the aliens and the humans. And so everything was in confliction.
I wonder what would happen if I could time travel and tell myself in the past that all those paranormal stories could make sense under one theory? Would I have thought I was crazy or would it have all clicked immediately?

Indeed.
Egypt obviously had it's good and bad times. What matters is how your kid sees it. If he sees it positive there is no problem.
