No One Is Ever Wrong

I have met a lot of people who are never wrong. They never take back that which they spoke which proved to be either stupid, inane or simply wrong. They waffle, redefine and deny, but they are never wrong. These people are incapable of saying "oops," much less, "I'm sorry," You find them everywhere. They might be a pastor, a politician, a CEO or a President. They might be your mother- in-law, father-in-law, dad, mom, brother or sister. Of course, it could be you, but you won't notice that. One common thing they share is that they are NEVER wrong. Of course they are wrong, misinformed or just plain stupid in the way they view and filter their world, but they are never wrong in fact. Their inability to say "I am sorry," or "I was wrong," is legendary in the family, the church, the office or the government and the damage inflicted on those that fall victim of these people can be humorous, mildly annoying or catastrophic.

I have to wonder who's defining what is right and what is wrong? Who's standard are we living by?

This topic can get complicated because, as you can see on this very forum for example, there are some people that are absolutely certain that their beliefs are righteous and true, and then there are others that look at the first group and shake their head because they disagree.

This is a topic of great interest to me. How can two people living on the same planet, often in the same neighborhoods, have such different 'truths' or realities? How can one person see an orange, and the other see an apple? What is the unseen force at work?

I think the main issue is that it's OK to be different, its OK to think different. The sooner we accept this the less likely we are to conform to other peoples standards and all the better. Until people are free of their brainwashing they are always going to be conforming to someone elses standards whether it's one institution or another it doesn't matter its still conforming.
We all have to try to be ourselves while accepting the differences in other people no matter what our logical heads tell us. It might pave the way to being individuals we should be rather than being oppressed. The paradox is no matter what you think you also have to be accepting to those who do conform, because it is the acceptance that will set people free. Those that are afraid to be different are afraid due to a possible lack of acceptance and acceptance will help reduce that fear. Without this belief we are endangering ourselves to indoctrinating others with our beliefs which completely misses the point. We are trying to free people rather than indoctrinate them into another set of beliefs.
