That is the question.
I am curious too. I like the idea in an evolution of human conciousness. But there are many theorys. Such as Zion.

Sorry just realised re previous post - the second embedded youtube clip is not a trailer for the film just a fans collection of other movies although it works well I spose.

I wish I knew, many psychics can't see beyond 2012. I have had two dreams about it, the first one was really scary, I had it when my son was about a week old, this was back in 1999, this was before I even knew about 2012, there, I probably sound proper crazy now :)
The other dream was a couple of moths ago, I dreamt that a Planet had come very close to the earth, and the electro magnetism caused everyones mobile phones to stop working for about 12 hours :confused:
My favourite theory is that Nibiru will be entering our solar system and will pass between the Earth and the Sun causing a pole shift etc. :eek:

The world won't end, that won't happen for another few billion years, neither will civilisation, the beginning of the end of civilisation will happen though.
