This as been on my mind for a while now. That is, The Directory of inquires phone number as been changed from 192 to 118 and its on the telly everyday and in the adverts for months Why? Why would they want to change the number that millions of people know from 192 to 118. Could it be they want to do something on 118 or the 811 911. I dont mean this year or the next but a year on 811. It makes me wonder what they are up to next because as we know they do things by codes so we idiots dont know what they are doing.

That's a good point. I have noticed the over advertising of that number in the last few years. And i can't stand those ad's!

Yeah interesting point llogun. They are definitely over-advertising those numbers for sure - ramming them down our throats!!

Dont mention 118 i went on holiday to stay with family 2 years ago and i had a pair of yellow swimming shorts, that i wore to play football in after going in their little pool, little it was massive i learnt to swim i nit all the way across 15 foot it was phew ! anyway due to the white t shirt and yellow shorts i got nicknamed 118 i still dont see why it was so amusing , bcoz i always wore black im told .S owe had to get the trqin back across the country to make the airport connection and went to buy tickets whe nwe got onto the platform we checked the train time and my ticket was , yes you guessed 118 .On the trian no one sat in the numbered seats anyway but the guy sitting in my seat was a dead ringer for the blokes from the advert huge moustache as well , stil lit will be an easy fancy dress costume should i need one :D but as you say why change something so ingrained into peoples minds when there was no need to ?
