First there was "Hogzilla" shot by a Georgia man in 2004.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/36/Hogzilla.jpg

And, now there's "Monster Pig" from Alabama
http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3012/monsterpiggo7.jpg

I'm thinking maybe genetic experiments?

story here (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070525/ap_on_fe_st/monster_pig;_ylt=AsGhVvS8XC9jZThth94X26IZ.3QA)

Vincent: Want some bacon?
Jules: No man, I don't eat pork.
Vincent: Are you Jewish?
Jules: Nah, I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all.
Vincent: Why not?
Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent: Bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood.
Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucker. Pigs sleep and root in shit. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense enough to disregard its own faeces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dogs eats its own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charmin' motherfuckin' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

Yeah. It's Rhino-pig!

I've read that pigs are popular subjects for genetic experiments because
their DNA is similar to humans.

I've also been thinking lately that the bad guys are likely cooking up some
genetic surprises to unleash during the End Times festivities ...

I figure all those Sci-Fi monster movies must've been preparing us for
something.

Know what I mean?

makes sense. as i recall, a pig's heart is most like a humans. perhaps even harvesting stem cells?

LOL pork pies is cockney(London UK) rhyming slang for lie = pork pie also some one would say if they suspected you of lying...."Are you telling porkies?"

:D Those pig pics do look real though scarey!

We have more to worry about than huge geneticaly manipulated animals excluding huge carnivorous types yikes. The human supersoldier is allready here or will be unleashed if the NWO wan't to track down rebels and dissenters. This freak of a soldier will have the strength to break a big man in half.

I don't think so. There are witnesses cited and I don't think AP would fall for
a gag photo without corroboration.

The pig in the top photo was also the subject of a televised documentary in which
it was exhumed and measured with plenty of video footage.

How do you know this?

Oh come on Tinmenace, I credited you with more intelligence, do you think if such pigs existed we would not of heard of them through scientific researchers or through the media, ie press & T.V, rather than them turn up on the internet. The net is full of pictures like this, like the classic cowboy taking the giant cock for a walk, that is equally as impressive as those pictures but it is blatantly obvious that it is a fake. No wonder conspiracy theorist supporters get a bad name when they automatically believe everything that they see with their eyes.

No no. Don't attack me like this. You stated very clearly that it was photoshopped. You didn't start off by offering a reason why this is possibly a hoax, as you have attempted in your last post.

You said something like, "it's photoshopped", as though you absolutely KNEW that to be a fact. I simply asked how you knew that, because if you know something that we don't know, I'd like for you to share the information.

Have you got links to the mention of it being shown on a documentary, reputable articles ect, stating that they are genuine? Sorry but it seems to me such a discovery would of made headline news big time, yet I have no recollection of it, and neither as anyone on this forum so far stated that they remember it on the news.

In England,a massive porker is a lie.........but that fella aint no lie.
Jesus, thats an astonishing foto........when it comes down to it,we havent got a clue whats going on behind the scenes.
Thats why we are made to look no further than our family, keep the people worrying about their mortgage, kids, finances, keep the people down, stop people from thinking,if the people are worrying about the everyday things then the powers that are can get on with it.Distraction,i suppose.
That is just one view point.

In what way am I attacking you. That is silly, I do believe it is photoshopped, I haven't changed my opinion on anything. Just because I did not go into detail as to why I believed it was photoshopped. I could turn your question around and say to you, why do you believe it is real. Lets look at the facts:

1. These type of pictures appear on the net regularly.

2. There has to my knowledge been no news of this in the media

3. No solid evidence has been provided of these pictures being genuine, in fact no evidence at all apart from the pictures themselves.

Tinmenace, I think you have over reacted, you have asked me a question to which I replied, and you returned with a defensive statement.

If people want to believe those pictures are real, that is fine, but I am putting my point across, asking people to use thier common sense, if after doing so they decide they still believe them to be real, then at least they will of thought for themselves, and that is a good thing.

Well Perhaps the use of the words "I credited you with a little more intelligence" was not a good use of words, but I assure you it was nor meant as an attacking statement. Anyway it is of little relevance now as I will no longer be participating in the forum anymore, for reasons unconnected to my discussion with you.

I believe National Geographic would qualify as media, don't you, emma?
And, as scientific researchers too. I put some National Geographic links at
the bottom of this post in case you think I'm trying to trick you.

Here's one pic from their web site on the topic:

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/2114/nggk9.jpg

Hogzilla was also featured on the "Explorer" TV show on the National Geographic Channel last year. Scientists dug it up, measured it, etc.
They aired the show again a couple weeks ago (see schedule below)

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/1449/ngtvnj6.jpg

Here's a little clip from the TV show:

That sure looks like media coverage to me!

And, here's some more National Geographic links about Hogzilla:

Yep. See my post above. Links are at the bottom of the post.

I also gave a link in my original post to an Associated Press article about
the 2nd large pig.

Or, maybe you don't consider Associated Press to be part of the media?

Here's that link again:

So do authentic pictures. The fake ones are usually pretty easy to
discern as such.

2. There has to my knowledge been no news of this in the media

I gave you a link in my original post to an Associated Press article. And, I
have now given you more links in my more recent post above. If you don't
consider Associated Press or National Geographic or the National Geographic
Channel to be media, then I can't help you any further on that point.

3. No solid evidence has been provided of these pictures being genuine, in fact no evidence at all apart from the pictures themselves.

Not true. The body of the first pig was exhumed by National Geographic
researchers. It was measured, weighed, photographed, etc.

Tinmenace, I think you have over reacted, you have asked me a question to which I replied, and you returned with a defensive statement.

adversarial. You basically accused tinmenace of being stupid, which she is

The "Hogzilla" story is true and was reported in the media and I have no reason to believe that this new catch is ficticious either unless new data comes to light.

Anyway, I came across this today about alleged "werewolves" spotted in England. Now I'm not sure what people have been witnessing but it makes interesting reading:

I watched a documentary on TV about the hog (the one that they had to dig up to verify its size), and that story is dinkum.

The other one, with the little boy that shot it, was all over the news today, and there is nothing to suggest that it is fake. The interesting thing about pigs is that domesticated pigs can quickly become feral, sometimes within weeks, according to the TV documentary (I think it was National Geographic). They will grow thick dark hair and tusks if not kept in a controlled domestic environment.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/monsterhog.jpg

These beasts do grow to enormous sizes. That much is obvious, and if these people chose to fake the size of this hog, it was a terrible waste because according to the other photos - he's a monster hog!

Here is them folks from Alabama's website with more info and photos on their hawg! (http://www.monsterpig.com/)

Yes I've heard of this theory before. If pigs are genetically close to humans, wonder if we'd change to adapt to say a forest environment, could explain werewolves and yetis, though I imagine it would take longer for a human to change. Or is that just nuts lol. :D

Well ... I wouldn't exactly call it dinkum. They estimated that the hog was
8 feet long and weighed 800 pounds. That's still a huge pig. :)

And, the picture was never discredited to my knowedge.
