I've heard (especially from Infinite Love Is The Only Truth, Everything Else Is Illusion) that a colon cleanse removes built up toxins and fecal matter from the intestines, improving overall physical and mental health. I have also heard derogatory options on it too.
I'm thinking about having a colon cleanse later this year, probably as a personal Christmas present.
Can people please share what they know and/or their stories on the colon cleanse, whether you had it or not and to what extent and how does it help with overall health? Would it help to cure mental health problems?

I did one from blessed herbs which was a 5 day fast coupled with drinking some natural mixes with organic apple juice 3 times a day and then waiting to see what happened,i never ate a thing for 5 days[i read some people go longer for a better cleanse] and then all these amazing shaped things started falling out my arse, this stuff swells up and collects lots of mucoid plaque[green and slimey]and cleans it all out.I felt like a benedictine monk after and three or four of the dark spots on my face dissapeared for a few months but are back now so i think about once a year would be good.I think if you want a proper set of colonics it takes a good few days to have it done properly[might be wrong],i'm sure it did me the world of good. You can eat as much as you like doing this but the less you eat the better it is

I've done a colon cleanse, kidney cleanse, and several liver flushes. The colon cleanse I did was the "P&B shake" method, which stands for psyllium husks and Bentonite clay mixed with water. Bentonite is a volcanic ash and has a high content of aluminum. This aluminum does not get absorbed by the body, so there is no danger to it. I have removed a lot of mucoid plaque using this method, and in fact you've just reminded me that I need to buy some bentonite clay because it's been 4-5 years since the bowel cleanse I just mentioned, and I definitely didn't do as much as I could.
The added advantage of P&B shakes is that they remove toxins and metals from your digestive tract, such as mercury. If you're going to do that method, I recommend ground flax seed because the psyllium you find at the store often contains aspertame and/or sucrose. Also, it would be a good idea to start supplementing with magnesium because it's vital to the GI tract, although make sure to start in small doses to see how your body reacts.

yeah,i used the bentonite a couple of times :eek: wow watch out bowels.does clear one out though.
i prefer a good old dejuice every morning or afternoon depending when i rise, any fruit or veg you like, add a couple of table spoons of dr Scuhlzes organic superfood, and that seems to keep the old bowels in order, make sure though if you go for a walk take some loo paper with you,or have some good doc leaves at hand;)

"Russian scientists use bentonite to protect their bodies from radiation when working with nuclear material, by coating their hands and bodies with a hydrated bentonite "magma" before donning radiation suits. Bentonite adsorbs radiation so well, in fact, that it was the choice material used to dump into Cherynobl after the nuclear meltdown in the former Soviet Union."

I have had it done numerous times. I can't say it's the most enjoyable experience out there especially the first time but when you see the amount of crap that comes out it's quite shocking! As well as the usual crap (trying to be diplomatic here :p), you get gristley kind of looking stuff that comes out as well - ugh!
If I remember correctly an average man of 60 (I think) will have around 6 pounds of rotten (meat mostly) matter impacted on the lining of his bowel. The bowel basically is supposed to reabsorb nutrients and water from the digesting matter so impacted junk interferes with the reabsorbtion.
You seem to get alot of naysayers about the whole thing but I bet none of them have actually had it done. It's just a bit of spring cleaning ;)
The most noticeable thing about having it done for me is better skin feel and tone, very clear eyes and a clearer head. I've never experienced any ill effects from it and you do look and feel noticeably better from it.
Just make sure you replace the good bacterias afterwards: acidophilus and such like and eat plenty of fruit and veg afterwards.

Yeah but I feel like probiotics are expensive, at least for a poor guy like me. You can still get probiotics from fruits and vegetables, but if you've got the money, you can try out the supplement.

Natural colon cleansing (http://naturalcoloncleanse.com/) is a good thing for your health as long as you do not do it too often. And stick to a proper diet of fibre, fruit, vegtables. and stop all fatty foods.

Ok, now can somebody post a useful link to a product that is both affordable and effective.
I am convinced it's a good idea to do this but I do not want to turn in some girl focusing all their attention on piss and poop. I am already getting tired of this shit. Why cant those intestines do their effing job?
Just show me a product that isn't $89.50 for a few bottles of pill ffs.

Has anyone discussed with their doctor, or tried any of these "natural" colon cleansing (http://naturalcoloncleanse.com/)products?

The Master Cleanse + OxyPowder instead of the Salt water flush. When you havent eaten solids for a week and pounds of shit are still coming out of you, you know its working!

This summer I did a week of water-only fast. I had no bowel discharge (is that a polite way of saying taking a crap?) during the whole week, but as soon as I started to absorb nutrients after the week had gone by, the amount of CRAP that was released from my body was astonishing. Also, after, I felt so much better than I'd done in years. Recommended. But, I would suggest going on a herbal-cleanse instead of a water-fast, as it was quite harsh on the body and psyche. Anyho, it helped on quite a few of my physical ailments, but not all of them, so come summer again, I'll repeat the fast, maybe even make it a couple of weeks.

However, if you choose not to use these products it could cost you ten times that much later in life. You can prevent a host of more complicated health problems i.e. colon (http://naturalcoloncleanse.com/) cancer if you take precaution now. Overall, natural methods are always safe to use.

Using a natural colon cleanse (http://naturalcoloncleanse.com/) can help flush excess fecal matter from your intestines, lose unhealthy weight you are carrying in your intestines and stave off colon cancer.
