The University of Minnesota shoots for the dubious honor of Most Flu Shots given.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The University of Minnesota thinks it has jabbed its way into the record books.

More than 60 trained personnel dispensed 11,538 flu shots during a nine-hour period Tuesday at four locations around the campus in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

They hope that puts them in the Guinness World Records book for the most flu shots given in a single day. The old record was 3,271, set in November of 2006 in Sanford, Fla.

Damn, that's a pretty shoddy way of cutting down on the student body! Too many students on financial aid for their liking?

Flu shots for students? WTF, flu which can be cured with chicken soup and bed rest doesn't need a vaccine, least of all for the most robust physical demographic of 18-30 year olds.

Id rather catch flu, feel terrible for 3 days, and then stay inbed for the next 4 taking it easy.

Many medical professionals believe that vitamin D is a better flu preventative
than flu vaccines.

Search the web for "flu vitamin D" for references.
