View Full Version : Why Vote? Try PPP Instead of PP!

For generations, British politics has been based on Party Politics (PP). If we accept the fact that all of the main parties are dominated by their elitist string pullers, then the only options would seem to be abstaining or voting for a protest party. In the British electoral system these options are also a waste.

My suggestion is that we switch from PP to PPP (Person to Person Politics). :)

When you vote, make sure you vote either for the best man or woman in your consitituency or against the worst one.

Many British voters have voted for different parties, and they have seen that this changes nothing. PPP is a simple form of tactical voting. Each one of us will have different criteria, for example...

1: Where does the candidate's loyalty lie? Constituency? London? Brussels?

2: Is the candidate known to have any dubious personal ties? Lobbyist for industry? Member of Common Purpose?

3: What is the candidates position on issues that are important to me? Contact them and make it known that you find the issue / issues important and that the candidate's response will influence your vote (and that of your friends and family). Issues could be vaccinations, Personal Freedom, whatever...

4: Vote against the establishment candidates! It always makes the news when cabinet or shadow cabinet members lose their seat. Put them under pressure. Spread the word in your constituency. Make people aware that tactical voting is better than protest voting!

PPP has the adantage that it costs nothing. There is no need to find money to field a candidate. All resources can be used to spread the message at a local level. Find the achilles heel of the establishment candidate and make that information available to people and groups in your area.

Members of Common Purpose, for example, should be constantly reminded of where their allegiance lies...

Any comments? :)
