This question has been baffling me for some time now. I just cannot think of an answer for it.
I mean, you can only use the product once, and then it turns to shit, literally. So why do most people buy bog rolls that are more expensive than the economy ones?
Another problem with the more expensive and branded rolls is that they tend to be thicker than the economy ones (like the tossers that buy them).
However, as an experiment I bought one of the upmarket rolls a few years ago to experience how the upper class cleaned up after a number 2.
Jeeez! The posh roll I bought was so thick it was like wiping your arse with a pillow.
So I say stick with the cheap rolls. OK, there's always the risk of putting your finger through the sheet, unless you buy the tracing paper rolls, but at least you can be assured that you haven't wasted your money on a load of shit.

Why even use toilet paper at all. Use your left hand and a jug of water like they do in Asia. There you go step.. saved you even more money. Thank me later.

personally, my bum likes the thickness. Cheaper paper feels rough and seriously donsn't last as long.
In order of preference:
1. Andrex
2. asda's shades
3. Charmin
there, I feel we know each other a little better now:D

Umm..because it's softer? I like scented too, if anyone's interested.
I remember at school we used to have this shiny funny looking paper that didn't even soak up water. It must of been super cheap in bulk or something.

well step , i suppose your comment is pointed at me .
i get expensive toilet roll for a few reasons .
1 ) because i like it
2 ) because i detest toilet roll that that acts like grease paper and just smears it about .
3 ) because there isnt alot i can afoord in life , so if i choose to treat my ass with soft thick toilet roll so that i dont scratch my ass , thats up to me .
4 ) because most of all , now that i know you seem to dislike it , everytime i use soft expensive roll to wipe my ass , i will know that im also rubbing it in your face at the same time .
lol what a subject , and to think you grudge others using roll thats kind on the backside . did you fall out of bed this morning ?this thread is not like you .
Actually ....
........Cheap loo paper is false economy.
It may cost half the price but you need to use three times as much. Can't for the life of me see the logic there.
