They were strategically invented to keep us slaves. No matter where I drive, the roads are cracked and broken and breaking, and the amount of work required to maintain them is not proportional to their longevity. In other words, there is ALWAYS road construction, and that's the way the controllers have designed it. It's about inconvenience, frustration and stress. It's about making us slaves. Also, the orange work zone sign is placed a unrealistically long distance away from the actual work zone, often times with a double penelty warning, as if we need 2 miles to prepare ourselves for the intensity of road construction. The cherry on the cake is that often times the electronic sign says "Road work next 13 miles." Actually, I don't remember there ever being any other number--no exaggeration.

All you have to do is ask yourself some questions: How long have we been paving roads? Probably a very long time. So why haven't we invented an alternative? And if you're honest with yourself, you can only conclude that it's being done deliberately, because it is a leap of faith to assume that there isn't an alternative. THAT is crazy.

My point is that the supression is just so obvious, even if you've never been introduced to the conspiracy. What goes through peoples minds?

I recommend reading "The waste makers" by Vance packard. In it he describes "Planned obsolescence" whereby cars, TV's washing machines, furniture etc are either made not to last or put out of fashion by newer fancier styles and models.

The bottom line is that when your new telly shits itself after 5 years the manufacturers make more money selling you another one :(

I agree, surely this is not the best we can come up with as a species.
I want to see more growing things that are glad.

They are choking the earth, and she cries for relief.
Plus its putrid order stinks and makes me sad.
