I'm wondering. I just wrote a few paragraphs of a post and when I submitted the post, It told me I was logged out. So basically I lost what I had written. What's the story? Is there a time limit of sorts? I think this may have happened before to me.

It's rather annoying and off putting to have your posts trashed this way.

It's happened to me a few times before man. I always make sure that if I'm writing a long article, i always copy and paste what I've wrote to a blank document. Then there is no way of losing it. :)

yes there is a short timeout limit.. so, before you post anything, hit the ctr+a and ctr+c to be sure, then let it do what it does.

I don't have this problem, but my PC knows that I would take my shirt off and give it an SOS beat down if it did anything wrong.

Okay thanks for that. Is this for security purposes? Maybe it happens to more people than you might think. It would be nice to let people know somehow or it might be scarying away some average user who doesn't happen to be an IT expert.

I would say I am an IT expert.

Jeez, where haven't I almost done it.

In the bushes, in the cinema, in jail.

By IT you mean sexy time, right?

Things like these never happen to Heroes. Especially those of the Heavily muscled type. The ones of the non gay ways, right?

it has been brought up again, but the admin doesn't want to fix it.. i guess..

maybe we should all have PCs as wise as fantana's. but then again, we would have to take our shirt off in front of them.

Hi armoured saint

I get logged out all the time also, and very often I go to post something and it brings up my login box. However after re-entering my details, the post just goes ahead and posts as usual. I have never lost a post, so I'm surprised other say they have.

Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to write it in another format first and copy it straight into a thread message box just prior to posting?

Yes, b.d. you're right....this subject has come up from time to time. I'm sure Sean is aware of this, however I have just PMed him and have drawn his attention to this thread. ;)

Do you use Internet Explorer? A pile of shite if you ask me. Use Firefox. Much better performance. :)
