Rumi was a sublime Sufi mystic/poet of the 13th century who realised the True Heart and Oneness of Islam, and ALL other religions.

actually, i think that rumi along with the greats such as hafez and sa'adi found the oneness of the universe in spite of islam and all other religions. there is a big difference between the beauty of sufism and the ugliness of islam. i see sufism as a way for the persian ideals to come through in an arabic/islamic regime. sufism has been and still is considered heresy amongst certain muslims.
