Light Circle pictures

Here are 2 light circle pictures I took from my office window, I have some more I will post later.
Another phenomenon that most people don't see!:eek:

Very interesting, i have noticed these circles myself before, but most of the time i have dismissed them as the sun reflecting off a building window. I have though seen them when there is no building in sight but also just dismissed them. Thanks for posting i will now pay more attetntion when i see them.

Although when i took salvia last summer, which i have described on a few posts on here, they were the circles which the people with their backs to me were walking around and keeping the particualr light/colour rotating. they started off a similar size to your pics but as i looked more they were all connected and rubbing like cogs and were much bigger and on different heights and levels, with people as slaves walking round in circles maintaining the particular vibration or shade of light.

No only my work place, but I've worked there 18 years, only noticed these light circles in the past 2 years......................

What I find interesting about these photos is that one this photo the light is behind the car, and goes almost to the ground

I find it interesting that in the first photo the light shines all the way down to the ground, BEHIND the vehicle.

The second photo, it looks as though the light is coming straight onto the van, and not from above. How then, does it shine down to the ground in the first photo?

No worries lookfar:) The sunlight is reflecting off a building with standard double glazed windows, apparently this type of reflection should not be appearing from these windows, I reckon the light is being manipulated to make these shapes....................

I will take a picture, no haven't seen this elsewhere, but a mate of mine has taken similar pictures at his place..........

Still makes me laugh how people walk past these shapes without even noticing them!.............;) Baaaa Baaaa go the sheep!LOL.......

Ooohhhh! I forgot about this post but thanks to the update its triggered memories:)

I must admit that when I first saw these light circle pictures I thought it was just a natural reflection from double glazed units.

So I checked around locally and saw nothing that looked like the above pics......but one day just about 50-100 metres down the road I saw the very same effect reflected into the street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This effect was not there 1/2 an hour later and I haven't seen it since from that source although I do try and keep a look out for it!!I even went out the next day at the same time to see if the effect was there and most surprisingly it wasn't......and I really wasn't expecting that.
Btw this was in May before we had the super shitty wet weather!

Now I have double glazed windows and along with watching other similarly appointed dwellings I have not seen this phenomenon on a regular basis...in fact I don't see it that often at all....especially as I now look for it!!!!!!!!!!(I know a little bit difficult in old rainy and super wet UK!)

I don't know whether its a particular angle of the sun or what but it has certainly got me baffled...in fact come to think of it..it only seems to happen with double glazed windows and I have noticed that one d/g window will give the pattern and another d/g window right next to it won't.........truly bizarre!!(in different places from the initial sighting above)

I don't know what the answer is...there may some mundane explanation out there but I for one am not so sure.

Anyway I'll try and take a pic or two next time I see it.

Probably interference patterns or refraction. Don't you get them on all the street lights at night when you're driving about... especially in the rain?

Never seen them in the rain or when it's cloudy - only in bright sunshine.

Recently at 7 - 8am and 7 - 8pm, though I've seen them in the afternoon before,and only since a couple of years ago.

These circles looks like they have been whats known as "painted" aka designated targets, for laser guided bombs.

Hmmm wonder if its some new military equipment their playing around with.

Yeah, to me it looks like there is probably an array of security lights on the building you are taking the photos from or in the vicinity of causing the reflections.

Also, you should check to see their movement. Do they stay in the one position all day or do they move? If they move, Iwould guess they are defo reflections of the sun on some shiny surface of some sort

No it isn't security lights Iv'e seen the whole length of a street with these on and there aint any security lights opposite. Not sure wether they move as you would expect with a regular reflection, I think they are only there for a short time.
