All of the hidden and suppressed technologies will surface, money hides ingenuity.
Communities will run themselves out of necessity.
Good life.

Civilization as i understand started out without money we are slaves to it bound by its will, lured by its power to control and abuse others it is the destroyer as well as the secruity blanket.
;)
Destroy money and you will create a better world untill this happens Earth to become paradise is a dream to rarely have.
Money is awash in slavery and abuse.

U plant seed in the ground, water then, make sure they get sunlight and nutrition and they grow. Thats pretty much free.
Or fish in the ocean, or raise free-range chickens.

nothing in this world is free.

Hard to charge for things with no money isnt it?
You can pay for things, and set value for things in many different ways, some of which provide all the convience of indirect trading. Its not free though. Sunlight is free. Energy is free if u can actually tap it properly, or at least far cheaper than it is.

Easy example, ethanol over petrol. Wind power, light power, hydro power, wave power (which is extremely powerful technology, can generate for whole city)

Nessesity is the mother of invention :)

Plants and fruit give them away for free! lol.

You have to keep in mind, that to maintain a first world lifestyle and technology u need specialisation. That _requires_ indirect trading, or at least community projects. So you need a system, and that systems u get are better than money, even smarter in ways as well as more ethical, but they are still systems.

If u wanna go natural community contribution and simple trade u need small populations, and to keep technology u need some incentive to do indirect trades, eliminating some of the "naturalist" qualities, but remaining true to the ideas (ideally conservation/renewability, community/social contributions and traditional trade done indirectly).

Easiest way to do this all, is have a currency, number based, like money but set different values and use different models (like resource levels, and benefit to others).

Of course there are more advanced trade systems, that are indirect but dont use money/currency, but that makes things like shared areas/services harder unless u introduce some for of reward for gifting work/goods.

So many flaws in money, as is conceived, its hard to imagine a world WITH money, even though we live in one.

See my sig :D

Where do u put the seed. Well thats an inherit property of the stupid land ownership concepts we have going at the moment.

I suggest potted plants. U can put them outside ur front where u live, or in the backyard.

Chickens is harder. U need space for that. Chicks i beleive are either cheap or free, so it would be easy to aquire even as a simple trade. That said, itd be far smarter to have such things before economic collapse, because trade systems may be down or shakey.

Sea is free food if u live near it. Some forest is similar.

City living is more tricky though.

Land ownership needs to go, if were ever to establish soverignty of ourselves, and free the earth to own itself once more.

Im not sure theres any such land left? Maybe small islands?

when there is no money, there is no ownership.

What is happening is money is not really dissapearing, it is just being retracted into the hands a few and people are having to sell what they used to own as they can't make their debt repayments with money.

This will repeat untill only the bankers own anything, everyone else must work for them to earn a most basic of existences at their will.

We dont need meat to survive and we certainly dont need all those junk food. You will have to settle for min. No fat people in the new world Im afraid. If you want more produce yourself and give extra to others or trade.

If we have free energy and basic food for everybody everything at top of that is luxury. Get the basics to everyone and let people produce other non essential things. Just no money ever:mad:

and everything collapses? then what happens??You are, of course, assuming that the grubby bits of paper that pass through your hands on a daily basis are what the present drama is about.

Actually it isn't. The stuff they are talking about is all imaginary. It doesn't actually exist as something you can touch and feel. Whilst the banks and the governments keep their system stable all is OK. Something has, however, given the old gyroscope a small push and its precessing off in an uncontrollable direction.

It's getting worse, apparently, because the bankers and the traders and to a lesser extent governments are all panicing. WTF someone doesn't just tell them all to STOP for a moment I really don't know.
