Criss Angel: Mindfreak

Hi All,
Criss Angel is a Magician who performs very convinvincing illusions such as walking on water,levitation and floating between buildings to name a few.I'm perplexed as many others as to how he does it.
In Manly P Halls book 'The secret teaching of All ages' he writes that a person can summon a Demon to serve them for their life with the agreement that the Demon is entitled to the persons soul after his death.I'm tempted to believe this is the case with Criss Angel.
If this is true then I would'nt want to be this guy for all the tea in China !!
I also might be completely way off.Just wondering what you guys think of this.

chris angel is a showman and uses tricks like any other 'magician'. they are clever tricks that can fool you and every 'magician' knows them. don't be fooled.

You wouldn't think it to be "very convincing" if you're actually there. (get some work in the entertainment industry and see how easy it is to fool (a) TV audience)

i just watched a few of his tricks on youtube- i swear a lot of the 'random public' i saw in the footage were also in previous random public audiences!! i must admit the one where he pulls that woman in half is mind boggling- im really stumped on that one!!

i just watched that one pulling hte woman in half on youtube. the woman that was pulled in half had to be his associate. notice how he chose someone first that was too small and changed his mind and found someone a little taller? makes it look more impromptu. and there are people living that have no legs like that. it is fascinating though.

Some people have said that he's learned to bypass the laws of physics. Is that possible? Anything is possible. This is a hologram after all.

By the way, the trick with the glass and the sheet of paper. David Blaine did that one before Criss Angel did.

if he can walk through glass, he wouldn't have to use paper to hide something.
he would also not need the camera switching viewpoints all the time.

if he can fly anyway, why not fly everywhere all the time?
because the scene must be right. a building is needed that blends in perfectly to hide his ropes and/or other flying equipment.

come on..

he is hanging from a wire, that is edited out digitally. there is also someone up there arranging it, you can see the man when he comes down, notice the shadows. it was also a multiple take, because note the sunlight and his shadow when going up and down and then no shadows when he is in about the middle on his first shot.

the second one, you never see the top of the building just right on top of him. you get the illusion that you see the whole building because other parts of the very top are shown, but never right above him. also a multiple shot, or how did the camera get up there and take these many shots when there's no evidence of a camera from the street shot.

By the way, the trick with the glass and the sheet of paper. David Blaine did that one before Criss Angel did.

The jury is still out on him for me. But the explanations for his tricks are not good at all! Actually, they were not even explanations beside the levitation, which I was aware of already. I think we need to think harder than just wires and tricks.

some videos were analyzed and proven to be digitally composited. some other tricks are very common to illusionists, done before a million times.

Hey I know this is a REALLY old topic, but I just wanted to say that I saw one his stunts in person. There werent any wires or helicopters or anything. Hes really damn good at what he does.

The other day, I watched him levitate over the Luxor pyramid in Las Vegas. I would think the light beam would fry him to a crisp. All that light has to be really hot. I googled until I couldn't google anymore (okay, maybe a little less than that), and I couldn't find out his secret on that one. I can find secrets on little mini levitations like on a chair, but nothing tells me how he flies over buildings and trees and so forth. Maybe it was a hologram over the Luxor. I don't know. He never even said he sold his soul. He says half of what he does is real, the other half is fake. And its up to use to figure out which is which.

I read a book many years ago by a woman who was a witch who became a christian, she said exactly what you suggest here to be true.

Angel will show some of the secrets to his illusions, to give an impression they are tricks but many are not possible without Demon assitance.
