the amazing thing is he made a show taking apart the whole reality tv genre showing how the producers simply use a divide and conquer philosophy to stir things up, and do things which are of no benefit to the contestants but ultimately suit the agenda of the producers. its a shame he cant see how this applies to life as a whole as he could be a vital cog in getting good information out there. i used to think his work was great and he was a pretty sharp tool but now i see him for the fat headed ego he really is

But what he says has some truth in it. I have said similar things myself to those who believe the conspiracy theories but refuse to consider any theory which contradicts their belief. There are a lot of people out there, say with no knowledge of science or technology, who consider they are knowledgable about supposed secret energy weapons. If these people knew so much about high tech stuff why do they have mundane jobs? they want to believe a lot of theories because it elevates them from their boring lives. They want to believe they know something that the public dont, they want to be one of the inside crowd. I am not saying this is true for everybody but there are plenty of people who fit the profile. A lof of people want to believe the government is doing all this stuff to control their minds and invade their lives when their is little to control and invade, etc.

Why not just acknowledge that he has said something that does hold some truth? its not what you want to hear but it holds true with lots of people

The one problem, in my mind, however, is where to draw the line between paranoid conspiracy theories and implausible events that, nevertheless, may have happened.
