View Full Version : Alfalfa Club - Another Secretive Elitist Club

I've brought this thread over from another forum because I think the info is important and should be shared.

What is the Alfalfa Club?

An exclusive Washington, D.C. club for the rich and powerful, founded in 1913. Its sole purpose  is to hold an annual banquet each January honoring the birthday of General Robert E. Lee. There are approximately 200 members. Each member is eligible to bring up to two guests to the $200-a-plate dinner. The club always serves filet mignon and lobster.

No press coverage is allowed inside the banquet hall and the proceedings are ostensibly secret, but the Washington newspapers always seem to get a fairly detailed blow-by-blow description anyway. Regardless, the congenial atmosphere lends itself to politically-incorrect humor. In essence the event is just another roast, providing one more showcase for Washington bigwigs to unveil their professionally-written jokes.

Just for fun, the Alfalfa Club leadership nominates a presidential candidate every year (not just election years). The candidate is required to deliver an acceptance speech at the event. Past nominees include: General Glen E. Edgerton, Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson (1953), Merle Thorpe (1955), Senator Prescott Bush (1959), Richard M. Nixon (1965), Ronald Reagan (1974), George H.W. Bush, Dick Lugar (1996), George W. Bush (1998), Alan Simpson (1999), James Wolfensohn (2000), John McCain (2001), Ted Stevens (2003), and Jack Valenti (2004).

In 1917, club member H. Ralph Burton published a 12-page booklet entitled The Origin, History and Object of the Alfalfa Club. As described by a rare book seller: "The author proposes that the truth about the alfalfa club was written in a remote section of the Rosetta stone."

Club motto: Bis dat, qui cito dat. (he gives twice who gives promptly)

People from apparently opposing political philosophies and parties, but as you can see; birds of a feather DO flock together. This is what David Icke calls "opposames." Behind closed doors, they're all batting for the same team.

Diane Feinstein - Voted one of the most corrupt politicians in 2007 by Judicialwatch.org (http://www.judicialwatch.org/judicial-watch-announces-list-washington-s-ten-most-wanted-corrupt-politicians-2007):

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA): As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee's subcommittee on military construction, Feinstein reviewed military construction government contracts, some of which were ultimately awarded to URS Corporation and Perini, companies then owned by Feinstein's husband, Richard Blum. While the Pentagon ultimately awards military contracts, there is a reason for the review process. The Senate's subcommittee on Military Construction's approval carries weight. Sen. Feinstein, therefore, likely had influence over the decision making process. Senator Feinstein also attempted to undermine ethics reform in 2007, arguing in favor of a perk that allows members of Congress to book multiple airline flights and then cancel them without financial penalty. Judicial Watch’s investigation into this matter is ongoing.

The info on this post will be updated as I continue to unravel everyone's affiliations to organizations such as the CFR and Trilateral Commission, for example. This should nicely demonstrate that the title beside the person's name isn't who they REALLY are. It's what they do behind closed doors that define them.

Stay tuned.
