I don't know if this will happen in other countries,
but will be happening in Finland.

Im not gonna start translating the article,
because it just says what the title says.

Good times!

Well I won't be chipping my five dogs. I will be telling them where to shove their chip

brainfreeze, the tattoo helps for that.
This is how they are making us get used to chipping.
If it comes and they will force us humans to get them, It's over.

Just because you chip your cat it aint going to stop her going missing is it? My first dog was chipped before I got him and he went missing a year ago. Now if the chip was any good I would have had him back by now. My current 5 dogs have an ID tag on them with my telephone number on so if they happen to go missing and an honest person finds them then I will get them back. It is all about honesty not whether your dog is chipped or not. If the person who finds your cat or dog in my case isn't honest (and vets do not mandatory scan new cats and dogs that come into surgery - this actually doesn't make sense to me!) then you won't get your animal back. I also have one of my dogs tattooed as I hate the thought of them being chipped and having part of a computer inside of them.

Another dog I was going to get from the Dogs Trust years ago wouldn't let me take the dog I wanted unless I agreed to them chipping him:mad: They thought that I was going to abuse him or somthing and that I was mad if I didn't

Don't fall into the trap that if you chip your cat or dog that you are totally guaranteed to get your animal back if they go missing as the chip is just as effective as a normal ID tag but has more sinister motives behind it IMO:(

Couldn't have said it better myself I would like to add that I also do not like the idea of a chip inside any living thing especially when they can control emotions, actions and thoughts through it:mad:

My cat is a British Blue pedigree from champion stock. My way of thinking at the time was that if someone knicked her they would be caught out if they bred her and tried registering the litter. Didn't realise vets didn't scan all pets :o

Thanks for the info
