Thats mental id love something like that think of the possibilities, you could play a bass line along with some finger picky stuff youd be like two parts of a band then your mate playing a guitar on top itd be like 3 guitars, but theres only two! wow ,mad shit lol
Want one of those loop pedals their well cool, cant find be bothered looking for a link of a guy doing a who song, he has a few pof them he sounds like one big band there well cool ive got a pingpong effect on a pedal of mines thats close but not as good as the loop pedals, pedals are expensive though :(

30 fret guitar - The frets on this guitar have an alternate scale, making the 16th fret the octave.
This guitar was used on "Down Deep Into The Pain" from "Sex & Religion"
This particular guitar is where Steve's "Xavian" scale derived from.
Of course, this sucker was made by Steve Ripley.

dude i love the chapmanstick but I'm more in the david gilmour line of music. hardly play two notes, effect the lot out of them and get high on the music. chapmanstick is like to many good things together (like a piano). it is overwhelming. it is definitely beautiful. i can't even dream about the options.
by the way, do you guys have an opinnion on what frets one should buy? My frets are gonners.
this is my baby by the way:

I don't know about frets. Wise choice a beautiful Ibanez you have there.
I usually wear the frets and the fretboard out on my guitars gone through 3. Telecaster, les paul, and a acoustic. The frets are holding out ok on the Ibanez they seem to build a guitar that lasts.

Not my guitar but looks just like it.
:) Ibanez rules, mid 80's roadstar - The pick ups can be used as single coil or with the flick of a switch they trun into humbuckers! Built for Steve Lukather custom, one of the pick ups is a one off, they don't make this model no more. Okay tremelo arm, but I don't use it no more.

A boss digital delay can do that.
A seperate pedal or one that's built into a multi effects box. They used to be around £150 about 15 years ago, you'd be lucky if you could pick one up for around £30 - £50 in a second hand store, maybe for less

The masons run everything on behalf of their masters, including your life.
Example taken from Tales from the time loop
But I realized that no matter how good your arguments about an environmental issue the only thing that mattered was the number of hands in the air at the local council meetings when the vote was taken. If you didn't have the majority supporting your case, its strength or validity was irrelevant. I also began to understand that often the councilors' decisions on which way to vote were being agreed at the local Freemasons' temple before the 'debate' in the council chamber had even been heard.

ALL = the whole of something
Purification of speech = AH
Concentrate on the red AH at your throat chakra, like the sun at sunset. Recognize that this red AH is the pure speech of the buddhas and bodhisattvas.
Make the sound “AH” for two or three minutes and visualize that radiant red light emanates from the syllable, goes down your central psychic channel and fills your whole body with blissful, radiant red light energy. All conceptions and impure energy of speech are cleansed and purified.
Again, when you finish the recitation, just be, without any expectation or interpretation, in a state of intense awareness of your own consciousness.
Understand your experience of the non-dual, of the non-self-existent I, of nothingness, zero, empty space as truth; as reality. This increases your energy for strong comprehension of reality. This experience is much more real than your waking, fantasy sense world.
When uncontrolled, distracting thoughts come during meditation, realize that not only you but also all other sentient beings are in the same situation of not being able to control the mind. On this basis, cultivate equilibrium and loving kindness for all others. Thus, your uncontrolled, distracted mind becomes a resource for the development of loving kindness. When it arises, direct that intense awareness of loving kindness towards your consciousness.
Hence, there are two ways you can meditate here. Either place intense awareness on your own consciousness or, when distractions arise, direct intense awareness of loving kindness on your own consciousness. Alternate these two.
Then, your loving kindness manifests in your central channel at your heart as a full moon disk.

The practice of Medicine Buddha, the Supreme Healer (or Sanjai Manla in Tibetan) is not only a very powerful method for healing and increasing healing powers both for oneself and others, but also for overcoming the inner sickness of attachment, hatred, and ignorance, thus to meditate on the Medicine Buddha can help decrease physical and mental illness and suffering.
The Medicine Buddha mantra is held to be extremely powerful for healing of physical illnesses and purification of negative karma. One form of practice based on the Medicine Buddha is done when one is stricken by disease. The patient is to recite the long Medicine Buddha mantra 108 times over a glass of water. The water is now believed to be blessed by the power of the mantra and the blessing of the Medicine Buddha himself, and the patient is to drink the water. This practice is then repeated each day until the illness is cured.

If it were within, within our power
Beyond the reach of slavish pride
To no longer harbour grievances
Behind the mask's opportunist's facade
We could welcome the responsibility
Like a long lost friend
And re-establish the laughter
In the dolls house once again
For time has imprisoned us in the order of our years
In the discipline of our ways
And in the passing of momentary stillness
We can see our chaos in motion, our chaos in motion
We can see our chaos in motion
View our chaos in motion
And the subsequent collisions of fools
Well versed in the subtle art of slavery.

Fish a proper Scottish poet (forget that imposter Burns)
Marillion - Forgotten Sons - Script for a jester's tear
Lyrics:
Armalite, street lights, nightsights
Searching the roofs for a sniper, a viper, a fighter
Death in the shadows he'll maim you, he'll wound you, he'll kill you
For a long forgotten cause, on not so foreign shores
Boys baptised in wars
Morphine, chill scream, bad dream
Serving as numbers on dog tags, flak rags, sandbags
Your girl has married your best friend, loves end, poison pen
Your flesh will always creep, tossing turning sleep
The wounds that burn so deep
Your mother sits on the edge of the world
W when the cameras start to roll
Panoramic viewpoint resurrect the killing fold
Your father drains another beer, he's one of the few that cares
Crawling behind a Saracen's hull from the safety of his living room chair
Forgotten sons, forgotten sons, forgotten sons
And so as I patrol in the valley of the shadow of the tricolour
I must fear evil, for I am but mortal and mortals can only die
Asking questions, pleading answers from the nameless faceless watchers
That stalk the carpeted corridors of Whitehall
Who orders desecration, mutilation, verbal masturbation
I in the guarded bureaucratic wombs
Minister, minister care for your children, order them not into damnation
To eliminate those who would trespass against you
For whose is the kingdom, the power, the glory forever and ever, Amen
Halt who goes there, Death, approach friend
You're just another coffin on its way down the emerald aisle
When your children's stony glances mourn your death in a terrorist's smile
The bomber's arm placing fiery gifts on the supermarket shelves
Alley sings with shrapnel detonate a temporary hell
Forgotten Sons
From the dole queue to the regiment a profession in a flash
But remember Monday signings when from door to door you dash
On the news a nation mourns you unknown soldier, count the cost
For a second you'll be famous but labeled posthumous
Forgotten sons, forgotten sons
Peace on earth and mercy mild, Mother Brown has lost her child
Just another Forgotten Son
A song about Ireland..

Marillion - Fugazi
Vodka intimate, an affair with isolation in a blackheath cell,
Extinguishing the fires in a private hell,
Provoking the heartache to renew the license.
Of a bleeding heart poet in a fragile capsule,
Propping up the crust of the glitter conscience.
Wrappped in the christening shard of a hangover,
baptized in tears from the real, tears from the real...
Drowning in the liquid seas on the picadilly line, rat-race,
scuttling through the damp electric labyrinth.
(Caress Ophelia's hand with breaststroke ambition,
The albatross courtship marrytime tradition.)
Sheathed with the walkman wear the halo of distortion,
aural contraceptive aborting pregnant conversation.
(But she turned the harpoon and it pierced my heart,
she hung herself around my neck.)
>From the Time-Life guardians in their conscience bubbles,
safe and dry in my sea of troubles.
Nine to Fives, with suitable ties,
While I'm cast adrift as their sideshow, (sideshow),
peepshow, (peepshow), stereo hero,
becalm, bestill, bewitch, drowning, drowning in the real...
The thief of Bagdad hides in Islington now,
praying deportation for his sacred cow.
A legacy of romance from a twilight world,
the dowry of a relative mystery girl.
A Vietnamese flower, a dockland union,
a mistress of release from a magazine's thighs.
This magdalene contracts more than favours,
the feeding hands of western promise hold her by the throat.
A son of the swastika of 45,' parading a peroxide standard.
Graffitti disciples conjure testaments of hatred.
Aerosol wands whisper where the searchlights trim the barbed wire hedges.
This is Brixton chess,
A knight for embankments - folds his newspaper castle,
a creature of habit, begs the boatman's coin,
He'll fade with old soldiers - in the grease stained roll call,
linger with the heartburn of good friday's last supper.
Son watches father scan obituary columns,
in search of absent school friends.
While his generation digests high-fiber ignorance,
cowering behind curtains and the taped up, painted windows.
Decriminalized genocide, provided door to door Belsens.
Pandora's box of holocausts,
gracefully cruising satellite infested heavens,
Waiting, wait..waiting the season of the button,
the penultimate migration,
Radioactive perfumes for the fashionably,
for the terminally insane ... insane
Do do do do do do you realize,
Do do do do do do you realize,
Do do do do do do you realize,
This world is totally fugazi!
Where are the prophets, where are the visionaries,
where are the poets, to breach the dawn of the sentimental mercenary.
Where are the prophets, where are the visionaries,
where are the poets, to breach the dawn of the sentimental mercenary.
Where are the prophets, where are the visionaries,

am the assassin, with tongue forged from eloquence
I am the assassin, providing your nemesis
On the sacrificial altar to success, my friend
Unleash a stranger from a kiss, my friend
No incantations of remorse, my friend
Unsheathe the blade within the voice, my friend
My friend, my friend, my friend
I am the assassin
Who decorates the scarf with the fugi knot
Who camouflaged emotion in a thousand yard stare
Who gouged the notches from the family tree
Who hypnotised the guilt in career rhythm trance
Assassing, assassing, assassing, assassing
Listen to the blade, feel the blade!
Listen as the syllables of slaughter cat with calm precision
Patterned frosty phrases rape your ears and sow the ice incision
Adjectives of annihilation
Bury the point beyond redemption
Venomous verbs of ruthless candour
Plagiarise assassins fervour
Apocalyptic alphabet casting spell
The creed of tempered diction
My friend, your friend the assassin
My friend, your friend the assassin
A friend in need is a friend that bleeds
A friend in need is a friend that bleeds
Let bitter silence infect the wound
Let bitter silence infect the wound
I am the assassin, my friend
I am the assassin, my friend
I am the assassin, my friend
You were a sentimental mercenary in a free fire zone parading a hollywood
conscience
You were a fashionable objector with a uniform fetish
Pavlovian slaver at the cash till ring of success
A non com observer
I assassin the collector
Defector
So you resigned yourself to failure, my friend
And I emerged the chilling stranger, my friend
To eradicate the problem, my friend
Unsheathe the blade within the voice, within the voice
Within the voice, within the voice
And what do you call assassins who accuse assassins anyway, ..................... my friend?

And if you're taking a walk through the garden of life
What do you think you'd expect you would see?
Just like a mirror reflecting the moves of your life
And in the river reflections of me
Just for a second a glimpse of my father I see
And in a movement he beckons to me
And in a moment the memories are all that remain
And all the wounds are reopening again
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
And as you look all around at the world in dismay
What do you see, do you think we have learned
Not if you're taking a look at the war-torn affray
Out in the street where the babies are burned
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
There are times when I feel I'm afraid for the world
There are times I'm ashamed of us all
When you're floating on all the emotion you feel
And reflecting the good and the bad
Will we ever know what the answer to life really is?
Can you really tell me what life is?
Maybe all the things that you know that are precious to you
Could be swept away by fate's own hand
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
When you think that we've used all our chances
And the chance to make everything right
Keep on making the same old mistakes
Makes untipping the balance so easy
When we're living our lives on the edge
Say a prayer on the book of the dead
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
We're blood brothers, we're blood brothers
And if you're taking a walk through the garden of life

There once was a woman
A strange kind of woman
The kind that gets written down in history
Her name was Nancy
Her face was nothing fancy
She left a trail of happiness and misery and misery
She looked like a raver
But I could never please her
On Wednesday mornings boy you can't go far
I couldn't get her
But things got better--she said
Saturday nights from now on baby you're my star
No more callers and I glowed with pride
I'm dreaming
I feel like screaming
I won my woman just before she died

Martin Carthy--The Famous Flower of Serving Men
Awesome acou
stic guitar and awesome singing. May send shivers down ya spine or bring a tear to your eye.
My mother did me deadly spite
For she sent thieves in the dark of night
Put my servants all to flight
They robbed my bower they slew my knight
They couldn't do to me no harm
So they slew my baby in my arm
Left me naught to wrap him in
But the bloody sheet that he lay in
They left me naught to dig his grave
But the bloody sword that slew my babe
All alone the grave I made
And all alone the tears I shed
And all alone the bell I rang
And all alone the psalm I sang
I leaned my head all against a block
And there I cut my lovely locks
I cut my locks and I changed my name
From Fair Eleanor to Sweet William
Went to court to serve my king
As the famous flower of serving men
So well I served my lord, the king
That he made me his chamberlain
He loved me as his son
The famous flower of serving men
Oh oft time he'd look at me and smile
So swift his heart I did beguile
And he blessed the day that I became
The famous flower of serving men
But all alone in my bed at e'en
Oh there I dreamed a dreadful dream
I saw my bed swim with blood
And I saw the thieves all around my head
Our king has to the hunting gone
He's ta'en no lords nor gentlemen
He's left me there to guard his home
The famous flower of serving men
Our king he rode the wood all around
He stayed all day but nothing found
And as he rode himself alone
It's there he saw the milk white hind
Oh the hind she broke, the hind she flew
The hind she trampled the brambles through
First she'd mount, then she'd sound
Sometimes before, sometimes behind
Oh what is this, how can it be?
Such a hind as this I ne'er did see
Such a hind as this was never born
I fear she'll do me deadly harm
And long, long did the great horse turn
For to save his lord from branch and thorn
And but long e'er the day was o'er
It tangled all in his yellow hair
All in the glade the hind drew nigh
And the sun grew bright all in their eye
And he sprang down, sword drew
She vanished there all from his view
And all around the grass was green
And all around where a grave was seen
And he sat himself all on the stone
Great weariness it seized him on
Great silence hung from tree to sky
The woods grew still, the sun on fire
As through the woods the dove he came
As through the wood he made his moan
Oh, the dove, he sat down on a stone
So sweet he looked, so soft he sang
"Alas the day my love became
The famous flower of serving men"
The bloody tears they fell as rain
As still he sat and still he sang
"Alas the day my love became
The famous flower of serving men"
Our king cried out, and he wept full sore
So loud unto the dove he did call
"Oh pretty bird, come sing it plain"
"Oh it was her mother's deadly spite
For she sent thieves in the dark of the night
They come to rob, they come to slay
They made their sport, they went their way
"And don't you think that her heart was sore
As she laid the mould on his yellow hair
And don't you think her heart was woe
As she turned her back away to go
"And how she wept as she changed her name
From Fair Eleanor to Sweet William
Went to court to serve her king
As the famous flower of serving men"
Oh the bloody tears they lay all around
He's mounted up and away he's gone
And one thought come to his mind
The thought of her that was a man
And as he rode himself alone
A dreadful oath he there has sworn
And that he would hunt her mother down
As he would hunt the wildwood swine
For there's four and twenty ladies all
And they're all playing at the ball
But fairer than all of them
Is the famous flower of serving men
Oh he's rode him into his hall
And he's rode in among them all
He's lifted her to his saddle brim
And there he's kissed her cheek and chin
His nobles stood and they stretched their eyes
The ladies took to their fans and smiled
For such a strange homecoming
No gentleman had ever seen
And he has sent his nobles all
Unto her mother they have gone
They've ta'en her that's did such wrong
They've laid her down in prison strong
And he's brought men up from the corn
And he's sent men down to the thorn
All for to build the bonfire high
All for to set her mother by
All bonny sang the morning thrush
All where he sat in yonder bush
But louder did her mother cry
In the bonfire where she burned close by
For there she stood all among the thorn
And there she sang her deadly song
"Alas the day that she became
The famous flower of serving men"
For the fire took first all on her cheek
And then it took all on her chin
It spat and rang in her yellow hair
And soon there was no life left in
Martin Carthy wrote in the original album's sleeve notes:
There is a whole group of songs and stories in which the heroine, seeking to hide some shame, takes on a disguise. In Fairy stories, this has come out in, among others, the German tale Catskin, and the English Cap O'Rushes (more properly Cap O'Ashes?). In song, one of the forms it has taken is the one known on broadsides as The Lady Turned Serving Man, and [known] in drastically curtailed form to Bishop Percy, Sir Walter Scott and Johnson as The Famous Flower of Serving Men or The Lament of the Border Widow. Having first read The Famous Flower and been fired with enthusiasm, I was sobered by reading the rather pedestrian text of the broadside, which immediately followed, and gave the story an ending, because it simply did not match—either in intensity or elegance—the considerably older, shortened version, and decided to try and tell it in my own way. The tune came from Hedy West, who sings it to an American song called The Maid of Colchester.
and Maggie Holland and John Tobler commented in the sleeve notes of the Mooncrest reissue of Shearwater:
By common consent, the finest piece on the album is Famous Flower of Serving Men. The plot (brace yourself!): a mother sends violent thugs to her daughter's house to kill her husband and baby. The young woman digs their graves, buries them, dries her tears, cuts off her hair and dresses herself as a man. She goes to work at the King's court, where the King falls in love with her although he thinks she is a man, so he makes her his chamberlain. The King goes hunting one day and is led deep into the forest, to the site of the graves, by a magical white hind. He is visited by a white dove who is the spirit of the murdered husband and tells him the whole story, whereupon the King rides home, swearing vengeance on the mother, and sweeps the Famous Flower of Serving Men into his arms, and has the mother taken prisoner and burned at the stake. No mention of happy ever afters. The song is utterly compelling, with its complex but hypnotic rhythm and the vivid images it inspires: “They left me naught to dig his grave but the bloody sword that slew my babe”—it could easily be the substance of a full length opera, a film, a classical ballet, and Shakespeare could have made a major play out of it. Carthy manages to convey all this immense drama and emotion in under ten minutes. A. L. “Bert” Lloyd (one of the doyens of English folk music) apparently once said something about this: one shouldn't be surprised at such a song being so many verses long, but that it should be so many verses short.

Mandrake is the common name for members of the plant genus Mandragora, particularly the species Mandragora officinarum, belonging to the nightshades family (Sol anaceae)...their roots have long been used in magic rituals, today also in neopagan religions such as Wicca and Germanic revivalism religions such as Odinism...There are two references to דודאים (dûdã'im)--literally meaning “love plant”--in the Jewish scriptures...

Rush 2112 (Full Song) 20.34
Overture (0:00)
And the meek shall inherit the earth...
II. Temples of Syrinx (4:33)
We've taken care of everything
The words you read, the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes.
It's one for all and all for one
We work together, common sons
Never need to wonder how or why.
We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls.
Look around at this world we've made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join the Brotherhood of Man
Oh, what a nice, contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand.
We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls.
III. Discovery (6:47)
What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?
See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes that fall gently like rain.
I can't wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music
The Priests praise my name on this night.
IV. Presentation (10:16)
I know it's most unusual
To come before you so
But I've found an ancient miracle
I thought that you should know
Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here as strong as life
I know that it will reach you.
Yes, we know, it's nothing new
It's just a waste of time
We have no need for ancient ways
Our world is doing fine
Another toy will help destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan.
I can't believe you're saying
These things just can't be true
Our world could use this beauty
Just think what we might do.
Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here as strong as life
I know that it will reach you.
Don't annoy us further!
We have our work to do.
Just think about the average
What use have they for you?
Another toy will help destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan!
V. Oracle: The Dream (13:58)
I wandered home though the silent streets
And fell into a fitful sleep
Escape to realms beyond the night
Dream can't you show me the light?
I stand atop a spiral stair
An oracle confronts me there
He leads me on light years away
Through astral nights, galactic days
I see the works of gifted hands
That grace this strange and wondrous land
I see the hand of man arise
With hungry mind and open eyes
They left our planets long ago
The elder race still learn and grow
Their power grows with purpose strong
To claim the home where they belong
Home to tear the Temples down...
Home to change!
VI. Soliloquy (15:58)
The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams...
Just think of what my life might be
In a world like I have seen!
I don't think I can carry on
Carry on this cold and empty life
My spirits are low in the depths of despair
My lifeblood...
...spills over...
VII. The Grand Finale (18:19)
Attention all Planets of the Solar Federation
Attention all Planets of the Solar Federation
Attention all Planets of the Solar Federation
We have assumed control
We have assumed control
We have assumed control
