View Full Version : A Question for No-Planers

Specifically, this question is for those of you who believe an actual 767 aircraft flying at 400 to 550 mph could not have penetrated the outer wall of one of the towers (aluminum is less dense/strong than steel, etc.)
By your logic, this device (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_jet_cutter) simply should not work.
Discuss.

I don't know anything about Water Cutters but I'm guessing they shoot more then a single burst of water to be able to cut? Am I wrong in thinking that comparing a steady stream of high pressure water shot at a target isn't remotely similar to a 767 hitting the WTC?

Well, using the no-planers' logic, the water "should" just hit the metal and bounce right off, correct? After all, water has a much lower density than steel and is a liquid, not a solid.

Blumenschein - you're a miracle of mental evolution! Now it is so clear for all to see. Praise be. The dastardly highmacjackkeroonies simply sat one of their number out on the nose cone armed with one of your wicked-pedial abrasive water jet propelled steel, concrete and anything else cutters, and bingo bolongo - job done. I salute your powers of reason and observation. Lets have more, much more of your blinding expositional logic. You are a credit to your tribe.
cheers..

somehow i think your misunderstanding the concept of this tool.
it is to speed up EROSION.
it could not be used to blast holes in steel like a bullet.
but perhaps over a length of time it would wear a hole into steel.
a much shorter length of time than it would take for erosion to do the same naturally.
the additional particles in the water would therefor aid the erosion, but make no difference to a hole caused by sudden impact.
backing up my thesis.

To address the planes in question, hitting a solid steel structure perhaps they would pentrate the steel, maybe they would just make a large dent. I can be fairly certain that a lot of pieces of plane would go everywhere. I can be completely certain that the nose of a plane will NOT go through a steel structure and exit with the nose in perfect shape. That is impossible. A CGI plane can do whatever they want it to do, even if they make stupid mistakes and broadcast the truth. The vast majority of people will DENY it. The planes that were shown on FOX were not real, it is obvious to anyone who understands CGI.

You are quite mistaken.

The original supposition of the op is easily questioned when one takes into account the materials used in the grit of the water cutter, namely: garnet.
If you consider that garnet has a hardness of 6.5-7.5, this fired under pressure could cut through softer metals.
