Ok, I dunno if this topic has been covered before by anyone, but I thought I'd start a thread to see what peoples views are on the matter. Or indeed have any evidence to bring forward.

So, I was having a conversation with my auntie a couple of months ago, I always enjoy have talks with her as she is the only "awake" member of my family apart from me, spiritually and agenda wise. So we were talking about universal law and re-incarnation etc, then she brought up a very interesting situation regarding my nana who at the present time is in a retirement community. (Ok Ok! im getting to the point now!) My aunt told me that when my nana was in her room at night time, she would have interactions with her past husband and family members. My nana claims that spirits of her past loved ones appear before her very eyes and have conversations with her, I can't remember exact details sorry, will try and find out; then post at a later date.

Now, I am undecided on this issue as I am not in my grandmother's shoes so to speak. But what I do know is that my nana is currently on a cocktail of medication and in the latter years of her life. Don't know what drugs she is on, could find out though as this could possibly be significant...

So the main Question that was dancing about in my head and sure many other people feel the same; Is this all part of the Ascension process and what most/all people go through before they leave thier physical bodies???

Thoughts/Opinions or any information you may have at your disposal are greatly appreciated and welcomed with joyess open arms to shed some light on this issue. Thanks.

Peace Out...:)

Im sure the veil between worlds gets thinner in some people as they get older,

its really difficult to give a definte answer, it could be a combination of her tuning into other dimensions and therefore having communication but also coupled with medication some of these communications could be confused with the information in her subconscious,

I would say if she is "sensitive" to the world of spirit and not locked in the five senses , it is her having some form of communication

Not entirely sure if she is sensitive to the world of spirit, but I do know she is prone to high anxiety so i'm guessing she "feels" more than the average person.

Surely someone can shed a little extra light on this topic?

Could be any number of things.

She could be hallucinating due to her medication, making it all up, suffering dementia, interacting with residual energies, or contacting genuine, active spirits.

Why don't you ask her?

Not everyone nearing death has these experiences, or if they do, they don't discuss them.

Maybe there's a connection between what your grandmother is experiencing at the end of her life and the 'imaginary friend' syndrome of children at the beginning of their lives.

You're right size I need to "interogate" her. Hahaha.

Good point raised there about the imaginary friend connection, im thinking along the lines of spirit guides... In both situations...

This sounds a bit like what happened to my Granny at the end of her life. She was always very active and independent but after a brief sudden illness she got very frail. When I went to see her, she seemed to be in a trance like state, reliving things that had happened in her life, however she wasn't on any medication. She was talking to her children as if she was back in the 1950's and acting out the motions of her job etc.

It seemed like she was going back and she recognised me less and less until she died. It seemed to me as if she was leaving the physical world gradually and that she wasn't experiencing time as the linear concept we have been taught to accept. Some people might just say it was senility but I had the sense that a process was taking place as it is meant to and her real self was on it's way back to 'the real world'.

Wow very enlightening chips. :)

Maybe there is an eaiser explanation for "senility", and like you say, just a transitional phase that people go through.

From what I've experienced with this sort of thing, I've learned that as most elderly people (who fear death for whatever their reasons) will often times spend many months or years before they physically die, slowly releasing their connections to physicality. If needed these people will take the time (months or years even) to inch their way into nonphysical states of awareness as a way for them to move past their fears of death and dying. The majority of people that experience this are usually people who don't believe in life after physical death and so they need to ease into this awareness and experience reality beyond physical life and with as little trauma as possible. This is more common than people would guess.

I'm not suggesting that your "nanna" was going through this as she sounds like it was very easy for her to make conscious contact with her already deceased loved ones. So she either did this because she was naturally able to be more open psychically to perceive these dead humans, or, the meds she was on at the time opened her more too, and/or because of her age she's slowly easing her way out of the physical realm too. Or it could be a combination of all of these things.

This is like the opposite end of the life pole of when little kids see things and beings etc.. Because they're still so open having just come into incarnation from non-physical elsewhere, they're wide open to also perceive more non-physical reality than most adults. This same thing holds true with many elderly people who are getting ready to exit physical life. They begin perceiving more NON-physical people, things, events etc. the closer they get to exiting this life and physical realm. It's the age groups in the middle that get so sidetracked with life that they usually don't percieve anything other than physical reality. ;)
