View Full Version : Teen brains - underdeveloped or ???
on some major MSM websites the idea that teen brains are underdeveloped is being pushed.
now, this seems to be true, as anyone who has a teenager can experience on their own skin.
but, is it teenage brain that is to blame or is it something else that is causing them to be different than teenagers of few decades ago?
your thoughts and experiences will be appreciated.

With everything thats being pushed at humans these days- foods, medicines, drugs, media pressure, social conformity, all the manipulation from behind the scenes- its hardly surprising teens are suffering for it... the agenda is gaining pace and you can see it clearly, even since i was a child and im only 26- it wasnt that long ago but we wern't like teens these days, they are just hitting us all from every angle possible!

There mostly a bunch of mindless zombies who cant think for themselves. They just follow the programming because they dont know any different or cant see beyond the herd instinct of follower the leader, if all their friends are doing it and other adults then thats okay for them to do it to.
The TV and the culture creators, create their reality and thoughts...... there is no hope. They inherit all the bad culture of the older generation and have even worse music than we had and even more electronic gadgets to keep them stupid and their minds and hands occupied from the greater natural reality, they live in a fantasy virtual reality most of the time.
Poor fucks are subject to more mind control and conditioning than any other generation before them and they cant see it, the world is normal to them they accept it how it is.

Maybe, we're just getting older and turning into those people that say "These damn kids of today!", forgetting that we were once them.
Kids need love & support. Most of the time, they don't get it from home (broken families, etc.). So they turn into tough little motherf*ckers nowadays, and if you don't show respect, some will get pissed off, others will shoot.

I read somewhere that the teenage brain has a huge number of connections between neurons. Much more connections than in an adult brain. The connections are a bit chaotic and too many and have not stabilized yet in the teenage brain.

in this case, it appears to me that this idea may actually explain a lot of things.
according to what i've read, the part of a teen's brain that is "undeveloped" (anders, i think you're correct in saying that while there's a lot of brain activity, certain parts of the brain haven't formed the necessary nueral and synaptic connections) is that part of our minds that generate what we would call 'empathy': the ability to put oneself in another's shoes.
this would also explain a lot of teen behavior to me, king :D
there is a disturbing trend in the u.s. to lock up teens convicted of violent crimes in adult prisons, which to me at least is a horrific notion in the first place. the idea of trying teens as adults doesn't work, and i feel like this is one of the reasons why.

Some mature faster than others but that's more to do with personality. Wonder how much of their brain chemistry is inherited from thier parents. The human being like other animals is evolving constantly maybe it's just nature. This young generation may break free from the programming and make the world a better place, only time will tell.
tru 3 heart that saying "give the kid a break" I think alot of us made mistakes when we were young but learnt from them. Locking them up in adult prison could change thier head and personality for the worse. Most dont realise choices they make when young can effect them later on in life.

that's exactly my point. it's a really bad idea to lock up teens with adults. if indeed there "personalities" are still forming, all of a sudden these unfortunates would have a lot of really poor role models to pattern themselves after.
and reading between the lines, could this not be a part of p-r-s?
problem: teen violence
reaction: someone needs to do something!
solution: lock'em up and create the next generations of criminals, which justify the curtailing of more personal liberty.
with respect to past mistakes: trust me, i made more as a young adult then most.
so, i don't see this brain thing as a knock; i agree that people continue to evolve well after their physical bodies have matured (at least, there is an opportunity to evolve).

The matrix media has for some time been amping up the EGO/SEX program which is directly aimed at teenagers (but effects us all), it's no wonder they as a group are getting wilder then we did. If I had access to ectasy, rav's and sexually liberated girls I can honestly say I would have been totally lost to it myself, instead of a few beers on a Saturday night at a haybarn party.
It would appear that in prior generations, rebellious teengage behaviour was just that, rebelling against religion, parents, school, control. Only the teenages with balls rebelled, nowdays it seems there is nothing to rebel against, so everyones out there "doin it". The only rebels maybe the few teenagers who don't get roped into the EGO/SEX program.

What garth said, along with the amping up of the 'parental stress program' (while tuning down the actual 'good parenting program'), in addition to the fact that today's youth are now the victims of the generational 'dick with the brain program'....(think the 'immunization program' and the 'faulty food-chain program' here) etc, etc.....
What chance have they really had?
