I have one big one and 2 small ones. The big one is in the top left molar, which is what i mostly chew with. I chipped a piece off this tooth awhile ago, and I'm going to get a crown on it next week. Then i started thinking-do i really want a crown on a silver filling? I want the mercury gone before adding a crown
I just called my dentist, and it won't cost much more to have the filling replaced first. I feel relieved. That will take care of most of the silver in my mouth. Yay!
Anyone have any silver filling stories? I don't know if it was affecting me, but I feel tons better knowing it's coming out!

Be sure you go to an experienced dentist that is advertised as "mercury free". Maybe get a referral from a naturopathic doctor or health food store. It leaves a mercury tatooo on the gums, see if he can remove the tatoo with laser as well. It is important to have it removed properly as the vapors can filings can escape, do a good detox before and after, use Mega doses of ester -c. i had all mine out, but they damaged my immune system, I take cell wall chlorella and spirulina to help detox. Colon hydrotherapy is great as well :)
They call dentists "quacks" because that was the name given to the American dental society when they first started using mercury in the mouth.
a great book is "whole body dentistry" by mark breiner. also, info by dr. Hal Huggins. I have more info if needed :)
Root canals are a concern as well. get them out also :) And never use flouride toothpaste or treatments

I'm freaked out. My dentist is wonderful, but I'm not sure they will do it properly. As far as I know they will just replace the filling. I found a holistic dentist in town that uses a mercury vapour ionizer. I am waiting for a call from her, and my regular dentist.

Did it permanantly damage your immune system?
Detox? Does that mean not eating and just taking these things and water?

Its reccomended for your health, and the health of your dentist, and the health of your local water supply, and the health of the other patients of the dentist, to get them removed properly, otherwise your dentist will contaminate the things I mentioned above, because a lot of them dont use the correct procedures and just drill it out and it will linger in the air and get breathed in.
You are extremely lucky you have a local 'proper' dentist in your area, especially one who knows about the dangers of mercury.

Ask your dentist for a good mercury detox to follow, There are supplements for heavy metal toxicity by Brenda Watson, go to the local health food store and get connected to good people, books and info. Hal Huggins is a good author, his books explain much about the dentisty and mercury. Also, take spirulina, a blue green algae for detox and healing. I also recommend a colon cleanse using bentonite and flushing out the system with a juice fast.

Yes
eat a bunch of cilantro leaves, and if you get a big headache and feel tried and feel awful, you have some kind of metal poisoning. probably mercury.

Do modern fillings still contain mercury?
