'Documentary recounting the downfall of the Knights Templar. For 200 years these pious warriors defended pilgrims in the Holy Land and established a network of banks that made them rich and respected. But the order collapsed when its leaders were tried and executed for heresy. This film explores the evidence against the knights and looks at the real reasons for their fall'
Worth a look if you haven't already seen it.

Interesting.. not heard that about Temple Newsam before, call myself a Yorkshire lass!
I missed most of it, was busy cooking a super stew - chicken with a zillion vegetables! (ok.. 7 veg :o) can you PM me the download site? cos what I saw of it was pretty interesting, thought I'd seen this one before but I was mistaken (imagine that!)
Yes I watched it, & found it very interesting. However, because I know little of the history of the Templars I didn't know whether the prog was truthful or objective in recounting the details.
I'm a bit paranoid these these days & see an 'agenda' in almost everything that's broadcast,*** so does anyone know wether the prog got the 'facts' right?
***except the Hairy Bikers! Si & Dave, come back soon.....
