Very strange... Perhaps he's trying to keep the peace...not what the US would want ...which can only be a good thing.

Actually Presstv announced that Iran was mediating between Russia and Georgia.
Ofcourse it makes perfect sense for Iran who are allies with Russia but also know that Georgia are under Israel and America's influence and probably any invasion of Iran would include attacks from Georgian bases.
Iran is probably also warning Georgia that if attacks eminate from their against Iran their air force and missiles will retaliate.
