I`m thinking in buying one of those machine water ionizers, but they are not cheap so I`m doing a little bit of research before buying it.

First of all, these models I like best: http://www.waterionizer.org/site/898596/product/JP108_109

Now, does anybody knows that this alkaline water does what they are saying? I mean has anybody tried it and has got really good results?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

If you're going to get a 2 thousand dollar water filter just to have pure water

Why not go to Ecoloblue.com

and get pure water directly from humidity in the air - for the same price.

I've been using ionized water since 2004 after reading an article by Daniel Reid. I used a simple acivated charcoal filter then, but was very impressed with the ionized water, and we decided to import and promote water ionizers.

In the last 4 years we've provided hundreds of families with water ionizers, and they all seem happy - health benefits are difficult to quantify, but they are all drinking more water, and no one has returned it.

Ionized water has many properties that do not exist in "pure" H2O - colloidal alkaline minerals, micro-clusters and low ORP (oxidation reduction potential).

If your worried about the cost, there are cheaper units available. We still use the Jupiter Microlite JP107, which is a simple unit that costs around £395, and the water quality is about the same as the more expensive models including those that cost $4000 sold via multilevel marketing.

Yeah, I`ve read that ionized water is "the better" water to drink. There are a lot of video on YouTube about it. To me, they seemed pretty good. :)

The cost matters, but I will buy the product from a site in my country (I`m from Romania - Europe) so I don't pay delivery taxes. The site sell's these products:

1. JP 101 NEPTUN - 702.00 Euro
2. JP 104 MELODY - 910.33 Euro
3. JP 108 AQUARIUS - 1,068.52 Euro
4. JP 109 ORION - 1,068.52 Euro
5. JS 205 Athena - 1,373.82 Euro

Personal, I think the prices are too high. The Jupiter Microlite JP107 is £395, almost 500 Euros! But if you say that you have 4 years experience with this, could you explain the difference between JP 101 NEPTUN (702.00 Euro) and JP 109 ORION (1,068.52 Euro)?

I think that all the jupiter models that you list are similar in terms of water quality - the differences are cosmetic, and things like automated switching of water during self-cleansing. The JP range started with the melody 104, then the 107, and the 108/109 several years later. 101 is a sort of rebage of the 107. If you want to pay the extra, i think its better to go for the melody 104.

Aha, thanks for clearing things up.

I have another question, noob one :P

I understand that we are having problems with aging, fat storage etc because our bodies are very acidic from our poor diets and lifestyle.

Now, the alkaline water has a high pH value which is good because helps in balancing the body alkaline/acidic. But can our body became too alkaline?

I understand that we are having problems with aging, fat storage etc because our bodies are very acidic from our poor diets and lifestyle.

What happens is that the basic process of metabolism (the chemicals reactions body does to maintain life like digesting food, growth, etc) produces acid wastes, and this acid waste generation process is made worse by poor diets and life styles. The body creates fat (cholesterol) to store these acid wastes as they could do damage to vital organs, and also to conserve water as we tend not to drink enough.

Now, the alkaline water has a high pH value which is good because helps in balancing the body alkaline/acidic. But can our body became too alkaline?

If you look at blood pH, then no it can't become too alkaline, but then it can't become too acid in the short term either as we have very efficient buffers that ensure that blood remains slightly alkaline, but not too alkaline.

Naturopaths and nutritionists are more concerned about acidity, and preventing it, because the body is constantly producing acids - its like gravity, a feature of life.

I've written more about Body pH here:
http://detoxifynow.com/body_ph.html

Remember that alkaline pH (ie alkaline minerals) is a minor health benefit from ionized water, the "magical" effects come from the low ORP and the microclusters.
