Hi all, I am an artist and among the work I do is to make sculptures of people in the guise of vans which are designed to capture both their physical apparence and personality. I make them from mostly plastic sheeting and bits and pieces of rubbish and old toys.
I made this one recently of Sarkozy of France and the inspiration was his small size and little man complex as he rolled into Dublin to chastise the Irish for the Lisbon Treaty rejection. I made him as a combanation of a old fashion political loudspeaker van from the 60's and the TV dectector vans of the past. I shaped the windows to resemble his droopy eyes and the phallic hood orament to capture his comical sexual prowess which reminds me more of a sad lounge lizard than the sauve real ladies man he seems to think he is.
anyways, I hope you like it.

If anyone has any suggestions of people they would like to see made into vans, I am open to your opinions.
