I was having a bad dream the other night which i cant really remeber what was going on, but at the "end" of the dream there was an invisible'ish figure about 4 foot or so which started to become visible, now this part of the dreasm was down stairs in my house and at this point i woke up and to the right of my bed was this figure/entity standing there and i threw my arm out to grab it around the neck and said "What the fuck are you doing" and it vanished.

Now i dont know if i was still asleep but i am pretty sure i was awake at this stage.

Any thoughts...........

would have been hilarious if you and a little green alien were rolling around on the floor having a tumble.....the aliens would certainly get more than they bargained for!! They'd go back to the ship saying....' i thought you assured us the humans were petrified of us...ive just been ambushed!!' :D

This happened to me not so long ago which just goes to show that Orgonite doesn't keep away astral critters though, of course, it keeps away the real nasty ones and not the inquisitive ones.

You were interacting with the astral for a brief moment while before your physical, etheric and astral bodies merged back to 3D. It happens.

If you are concerned there are 3 things you can do.

1) Orgonite - will at least keep away nefarious ones

2) Sea Salt mixed with Water in a sealed glass jar - repels them for some reason

3) The most important and effective method would be to pray for protection before you sleep. Know that they cannot violate your free will or space without your permission ( which you may have given inadvertently ) Reinforce your position verbally and out loud before you go to sleep.

"Just doing some experiments on you sir".

I reckon you got gang probed. nah only messing

Here's some info of what you experienced I'm not saying its a hallucination though. Im just posting this so you know why you saw what you saw.

hypnopompic

adj.

Of or relating to the partially conscious state that precedes complete awakening from sleep.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/hypnopompic

Definition of Hypnopompic hallucination

Hypnopompic hallucination: A vivid dreamlike hallucination that occurs as one is waking up. The opposite of an hypnagogic hallucination, which occurs as one is falling asleep.

Relationship between the hypnagogic/hypnopompic states and reports of anomalous experiences - sleep
Journal of Parapsychology, The, June, 2002 by Simon J. Sherwood

A whole range of anomalous experiences (1) has been reported during the hypnagogic or hypnopompic states that surround periods of sleep. It is not uncommon for people to experience brief, vivid, and often strange imagery or to find themselves temporarily unable to move or speak during these periods between wakefulness and sleep. These brief sensations and the temporary paralysis are known as hypnagogic or hypnopompic imagery and sleep paralysis, (2) respectively

Recent surveys found that people who report more childhood experiences of hypnagogic/hypnopompic imagery or sleep paralysis also report a greater number of anomalous experiences during childhood or adulthood. More specifically, hypnagogic/hypnopompic imagery has been associated with reports of extrasensory perception (ESP), apparitions and communication with the dead, out-of-the-body experiences (OBEs), visions of past lives, and experiences involving extraterrestrials

The question is: are the hypnagogic/hypnopompic states conducive to anomalous processes and events or are normal hypnagogic/hypnopompic features being misinterpreted? Perhaps both statements are true? The aim of this article is to consider evidence for each of these possibilities. First, it is necessary to outline the characteristics of the hypnagogic/hypnopompic states and the features of some of the experiences that can occur within them.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HYPNAGOGIC/HYPNOPOMPIC STATES

Most research, both experimental and survey-based, seems to have focused on the hypnagogic state (the period between wakefulness and sleep, i.e., just as a person is falling asleep). Comparatively little research has been carried out on the hypnopompic state (the period between sleep and wakefulness, i.e., just as a person is waking from sleep). Thus, this article focuses mainly on the hypnagogic state. The hypnagogic state, like the sleep state, is fairly complex and contains a number of steps and stages concluded that the sleep onset period is unique and cannot be accurately categorised as either waking or sleeping. It is very difficult to determine the precise point of falling asleep, except by using arbitrary criteria, because the transition is gradual, because the changes are not always synchronised, and because there are large individual differences in when the changes occur
During alert wakefulness, eye movements are fairly rapid, and the normal EEC trace consists of irregular waves of high frequency.
As a person relaxes or becomes drowsy, there is an increase in alpha activity (8-12 Hz), and eye movements become slower and less frequent. In fact, the presence of slow eye movements is considered to be an extremely accurate indicator of hypnagogic mentation found that as the period of eyelid movement quiescence lengthens, that is, as the eyelids move less, mentation becomes more dreamlike. This contrasts with the positive association between eyelid movements and dreamlike mentation during REM sleep. As a person passes through the hypnagogic period into the early stages of non-REM sleep, there is a decline in alpha activity and a concomitant increase in slower theta activity (4-7 Hz). A person is typically considered to be asleep once they reach Stage 2 sleep, which is characterised by theta activity and the appearance of sleep spindles.During the transition from wakefulness to sleep, there is also a decrease in muscle tone, a slowing of the heart and respiration rates, a reduction in blood pressure, and an increase in skin temperature. Upon awakening, these changes go in the opposite direction.
During the hypnagogic/hypnopompic states, people can experience brief and vivid imagery or sensations in one or more different sensory modalities or temporary paralysis. Recall of hypnagogic imagery has been found to peak around the middle of standard Stage 1 sleep when the EEG mainly consists of theta activity

Hypnagogia

Hypnagogia (also spelled hypnogogia) are the experiences a person can go through in the hypnagogic (or hypnogogic) state, the period of falling asleep. Hypnopompia are the experiences a person may go through in the hypnopompic state, the period of waking up. The term hypnagogia often encompasses hypnopompia as well. Hypnagogic sensations collectively describe the vivid dream-like auditory, visual, or tactile sensations that can be experienced in a hypnagogic or hypnopompic state. These sensations can be accompanied by sleep paralysis, the sensation that the body is temporarily paralyzed after waking or before falling asleep.

The term “hypnagogic” is derived from the French word hypnagogique, coined by the 19th century French psychologist Louis Ferdinand Alfred Maury from the Greek words hupnos, meaning sleep, and agogos, meaning leading. Frederic William Henry Myers coined the complementary term hypnopompic, from hupnos and pompe, meaning sending away.

Hypnagogic sensations

Hypnagogic sensations are vivid dream-like experiences that occur as one is falling asleep or waking up. Accompanying sleep paralysis can cause the sensations to be more frightening. The features of these sensations generally vary by individual, but some are more common to the experience than others:

Most common

* Vividness
* Falling sensation
* Fear

Common

* Sensing a "presence" (often malevolent)
* Pressure/weight on body (especially the chest or back).
* A sensation of not being able to breathe
* Sense of impending doom/death

Fairly common

* Auditory sensations (often footsteps or indistinct voices, or pulsing noises). Auditory sensations which are described as noise instead of sensations of distinct or comprehensible sounds, are often described to be similar to auditory sensations caused by nitrous oxide by persons who have experienced both.
* Visual sensations such as lights, people or shadows moving around the room

Less common

* Floating sensations (often described as out-of-body experiences)
* Seamless transition into fully immersive lucid dreaming, also associated with out-of-body experiences
* Tactile sensations (such as a hand touching or grabbing)

Rare

* Vibration
* Involuntary movements (sometimes the feeling of sliding off the bed or even up walls).
* The feeling of being pulled in different directions

During the hypnagogic state, an individual may appear to be fully awake, but has brain waves indicating that the individual is technically sleeping. Also, the individual may be completely aware of their state, which enables lucid dreamers to enter the dream state consciously directly from the waking state (see wake-initiated lucid dream technique). Many artists, musicians, architects, engineers, and others demanding creativity to be successful have benefited from hypnagogia, where the mind can be free and open to creative and new ideas.[citation needed]

An experience of the hypnagogic state is not an uncommon occurrence with 30 to 40 percent of people experiencing it at least once in their lives.[citation needed] However, it could be a sign of a sleep disorder, such as narcolepsy and insomnia, or associated with temporal lobe epilepsy.

The hypnagogic state can be accompanied by or associated with anomalous phenomena such as alien abduction, extra-sensory perception, telepathy, apparitions, or prophetic or crisis visions. This conduciveness to anomalous phenomena can be correlated with the initial increase of alpha and the later increase of theta brainwaves.

i have had some of the wierdest, wildest, most lifelike dreams, but i've never really felt that they were anything more than dreams. I am convinced that there is more to this reality than we can percieve withour senses, but i've yet to have a personal experience with it.

Earlier this year I got woken up in the middle of the night on my back facing the ceiling, to find something that felt like around 200 pounds in weight 'on top of me' pressing into my chest.
It was some form of entity but i could not see it due to the room being pitch black, all i sensed was pure malicious intent coming from this thing.
It was attempting to 'get into' my body, probably possession, locking into my solar plexus chakra and pressing all this 'etheric' weight into my body.
I was unable to breathe or move a muscle at all while this was happening.

When i realised (after a second or 2) that this was real and i was awake, I let go of all fear and 'willed it' off me, and it wrenched itself away.

It must have lasted around 10-20 seconds from waking up to the time it left, and i let out a big gasp of air and a shout as it wrenched off me.

I was 100% awake...and i know i maybe opening myself up to ridicule with this, but i know it happened, and i have heard it has happened to many other people too.
This happened the same week i bought ingredients to make my own orgonite...which i successfully did a few days later.
Since then i have been using various visualisation, protection and lightwork techniques before going to sleep, and nothing has happened since.

Even since I began medidating, I began sensing strange things during my sleep too. It usually feels like my consciousness is opening up. Sometimes I feel absolute stillness. Other times I see strange things that I am not even sure about. I usually forget about what I see once I awake. Another time, I felt my soul separating from my body. No joke. I haven't been able to do that again. But I'd love to be an astral traveler though.

When I was a small child I used to sometimes wake up, and be soooo sure in my mind that there was someone or something in the room that I just kept my eyes closed and didnt open them until the feeling vanished, could be hours sometimes!

Wish I had the guts to grab them by the neck like you did :)

http://www.ghostvillage.com/legends/2002/legends7_11302002.shtml

In Chinese folk culture, sleep paralysis is referred as "gǔi yŕ chúang" (鬼压床,鬼壓床), literally: "Ghost press bed": 鬼: ghost, 压: press, 床: bed. The belief is that a spirit or ghost is sitting or lying on top of the sleeping individual, causing the sleep paralysis. This is thought to be a minor body possession by the forces from the dead which doesn't usually cause any harm to the victim.
In Japan, sleep paralysis is referred to as kanashibari (金縛り, literally "bound or fastened in metal," from kane "metal" and shibaru "to bind, to tie, to fasten").
In Thailand, this condition is said to be caused by a spirit or "pee um" (ผีอำ) which sits or lie atop of the victim causing him or her to be immobile. The spirit causes no harm to the victim and is said to only be playing pranks.
In Scandinavian mythology, sleep paralysis was caused by a Mara, or mare - a kind of malignant female wraith who can also cause nightmares. She appears as early as in the Norse Ynglinga saga, but the belief itself is probably even older. "Mara" is the Old Norse, Swedish and Icelandic name, "mare" is Norwegian and Danish.
In Newfoundland, as a visit from the "old hag" (Irish: Ag Rog).
In Mexico, as subida del muerto (the dead climbing on top).
In Greek, as mora (in Greek: μώρα), the name has a Slavic root.
In German as Hexendrücken (witch pressing).
In Turkish, as karabasan (literally: "dark presser": kara: "dark/black":, basan: "pusher, presser". Most Turkish people believe that it's a metaphysical incident, and especially religious people believe that it's a jini that causes the discomfort; so generally some kind of prayer is advised).
In Hazaragi, as Shazia Zer Kado (pressing ink).
In the Southern United States, people have described it as "The witch riding your back".
In the Western United States, the Sleep Paralysis is commonly called "Scissor Lock".
In Korea, it is referred as Gawinullim, (가위눌림) literally in English: "To be pressed by Gawi." The meaning of Gawi is clear, generally known to mean "spirits" or "demons." Another word in Korean "Gawi" is a homonym that means "scissors". Such occurrences are usually referenced as "scissor lock" in English.[citation needed]
In Indonesia, Javanese people call it tindihan, spelled traditionally as "tindhihen" (To be laid upon). Also in Sundanese, people call it ereup-ereup.
In the Philippines, Sleep paralysis is often associated with Bangungot.
In Malaysia, known as "kena himpap", meaning being pressed down.
In Vietnam, sleep paralysis is known as "ma đč", meaning a ghost or spirit lying on top of or pressing down on the person.
In the West Indies, being "ridden by a duppy".
In medieval times of Europe, attacks of sleep paralysis may have given rise to the belief in mara, incubi, succubi, other demons and witchcraft. People in England believed that witches or hags rode on men's chests as they slept, and the feeling of being unable to breathe was attributed to a hag. This is why people who have had very little sleep may be described as looking "hag-ridden".
In traditional Russian belief symptoms reminiscent of sleep paralysis were attributed to the anger of domovoi, the home spirit, punishing people for bad husbandship or betrayal.
According to traditional Hmong beliefs, various states of sleep paralysis are thought to be the processes in which an evil spirit or demon sits down on a person usually in retaliation to wrongdoings. Some Hmong have deemed it as the process of getting 'squashed'.
Traditional Islamic cultures would usually interpret this as an encounter with a Jinn (or "djinn"); a race of beings, similar to humans which inhabit the earth. The word "jinn" literally means anything which has the connotation of concealment, invisibility, seclusion and remoteness, and is one of the two beings (the other being Human) addressed directly in the Quran. In Islamic text, and scholarship, Jinns are considered beings, which like humans are accountable for their deeds and thus have free will. They are considered to have life and death, society, culture and religion.
In Laotian culture, it is called "pee um" translated as "ghost silencing you". The ghost or spirit is thought to visit you in the night, hold your arms and legs down, and even cover your mouth up so that no sound would come out when you scream.
In Finnish a nightmare is called painajainen, but literally it means "pressing" and is thought to be originating from sleep paralysis sensory effects.
In Hungarian folk culture sleep paralysis is called "lidércnyomás" ("lidérc pressing") and can be attributed to a number of supernatural entities like "lidérc", "boszorkány" (witch), "tündér" (fairy) or "ördögszerető".[3] The word "boszorkány" itself stems from the turkish root "basz-", meaning "to press".[4]

Did you know that about 40 percent of you have experienced some degree of the "old hag syndrome" and you may not even know it? I remember my first episode quite clearly--it was in the middle of the night when something woke me up. I know I was awake, because I could see my bedroom around me. I was very alert, but I couldn't move. I was completely paralyzed. I felt pressure on my chest, I had trouble breathing, and my heart started to race. Then, within a few seconds, the episode was over, I could move again, and I sat up in bed, scared and confused.

I have experianced that, though I have never connected it to the supernatural.

The last time it happened (two epsidoes back-to-back), many months ago now, it actually was accompanied by a presence of some sort though. In both cases , paralysis and a dream, allthough the paralysis was much milder in the more horrofic dream, odly. One dream, I was being held captive by some Hellraiser shit, unspeakable hyena-like malice eminating from "it", though I never saw it. I was in a surgical procedures room somewhere in Hell, LOL. Think of the video for Closer by Nine Inch Nails, but ten times worse. My memory's a little fuzzy here, but somehow the presence had, like, taken my skeleton out from the rest of me, or skinned me, or something. But it was unspeakably horrific, anyhow. Then I awoke, disturbed, wanting to kick some ass.

And then on the seocnd occasion, which soon followed as I said, I was in a virtual reality world of some 80's Atari space-shooter. Like, literally. Like I was there! Wherever there is. Inside an Atari I guess. I was aware of being trapped in this dream, and I was paralyzed.

I thought I had a flash of inspiration that explained that last one recenlty, but it's gone from my mind now...

I have had soooo many, and sooo many of these wierd dreams where I know I'm dreaming.

One time I was sleeping in bed after work and it was bright in the room, I woke up and I was completely paralyzed but I could see the bright room. As I always do in these dreams I try to shake my head and body to wake up, but this time it didn't work, whenever I willed myself to wake up I got a pain all throughout my body, particurlarly in the bones, my scull felt like it was going to crack, it was so uncomfortable that (in my head) i was moaning, closing my eyes, opening them again, trying again to wake up and it happened again, 2 times, then suddenly I woke up. When I woke up I could see two golden shiny almond shapes on the wall infront of me like eyes (but no pupil) for about two seconds. I just told my boyfriend about this dream as I feel wierd telling everybody. This is probably the most uncomfortable "dream" (where I know I'm dreaming) I've had, the others have been more facinating than scary.

Once I was paralyzed, it was also bright in the room, I opened my eyes and stared into the wall, was thinking "shit, I can't move again, one of these dreams". I tried lifting my arm up in front of my face, and I was amazed to see my hand was semi transparent. I woke up and was staring at the same spot but my arm was under the quilt.

I can't tell you all my wierd dreams as that would take to long. One last one that I like because it's unique (only had it once). The room was dimly lit up. I wasn't conscious that I was dreaming this time, and was in some kind of trance, I was sitting up in bed next to my boyfriend, there was some kind of cloud of glitter above my boyfriends body and I was moving my hands through this cloud gently, watching the glitter move around my hands, and I was enjoying it, even though I was in a some sort of trance. Then suddenly my boyfriend woke up and started screaming "Lene! LENE! What's wrong! what's wrong!" I said " don't worry Amin it's just glitter, just glitter" I didn't understand why he was making such a fuss and it scared me abit. I slowly started coming back to my own self, the glitter disappeared, was talking abit of nonsense first until I realized, then I had to laugh. What a crazy dream! LOL

I have had sooo many wierd dreams :D

Reason that doesnt happen.. If you believe in aliens visiting us .. You are screwed, royally...

Lets just say that aliens are real, and they come in all these fantasticly similar yet different varieties : bipedal, some short, some tall, some grey, some green , etc..

WTF are they doing here? Besides invading our planet/personal space... Why not help us advance in a real way that present day humans can sympathize with? Why only interact with GOVERNMENTS?... Because GOVERNMENTS are so peacefull and friendly to all creatures.. RIGHT? FUK ALL!

If they do exist, which they dont, i will blow ones fucking brain out on sight! IM TIRED OF THIS SHIT!

Any thoughts...........No description.

Correct aventurine ( very useful stone btw ) you can reinforce with visualization. Just be sure to visualize indigo/violet light and NOT white light.

Similar thing happens to me quite often.....pretty much has all of my life.

A while ago I was laying in bed drifting in and out of sleep when I felt someone bend over me and whisper in my ear. I thought it was my son letting me know he was home, so I peeped my eyes open and jumped 6 foot into the air and out of bed screaming out who the fuck are you? This entity jumped back and demateralized before my eyes. I then went back to sleep and had forgotten all about it the by morning.
Then the next evening my wife came home from work and I started to engage her in idol chit chat. When all of a sudden she said to me; that being you saw last night I saw it to. Well a cold chill ran down me spine, it transpired that my wife was laying there watching this being talk into my ear for several minutes but she thought she was dreaming.
At the time I was involved in a very intense debate on a religious board and I can only put the experience down to that.

it probably was an entity

are you/were you doing drugs?
because, when you do/keep doing drugs you are more open to
such experiences.
