I just bought some new foundation (make-up) and on the lid there was a bar code thing i was taking it off as you do, and i noticed it has a metalic 'swirl' if thats the right word, it looked like an circuit so i had a feel of it and sure enough there was a lump i opend the barcode thing up and inside are 2 metal chips. i dont know what use this is to anyone if any at all i just felt like shareing. Of course all my family are now calling me paranoid because im saying they are rdif chips but i have the evidence right here.
I didnt even know this was legal yet:eek: ....

Actually I am not sure if they can listen with those 'ordinary' chips they put in 'ordinary' products, although i could be wrong, maybe somebody else on here will know that.
But i think they can track that product wherever it goes, as long as the chip, or chips, remain in that product.

Iv just had a little look around the internet and came across some photos of thease tags, they look the same as what i found on my make-up i read some stuff on the tags too and it dosent sound so scary but still i think they should tell you if your buying a product with thease chip things in i dont want some fucko tracking my every purchase no way!!

Well, it is the first time i've heard of this in the UK, very observant of you to see them anyway.

I agree, there should be some kind of label stating that 'this product has a tracking chip in it' ...but...since when have the 'powers that be' told us the truth?!

If it was me i would be tempted to smash them with a hammer and put them in some elses wheelie bin haha

I have heard that even our wheelie bins are now chipped though as well...i have checked mine but couldn't find one...but they'll get round to it eventually i bet !

Hi Lilloz. I also found one on my makeup recently and quickly peeled if off. However, I think they're only for re-stock purposes and should deactivate once purchased (I hope!), although who knows these days? They're certainly not going to inform us if otherwise.

Check out Spychips.com if you're interested to learn more. You can also sign up for their newsletter, which is mainly US based, but quite informative.

Also, have you seen the RFID chip videos by Katherine Albreicht? They're very eye opening, here are some links...

Let's all say NO to the chip!!

I think if I can remember correctly, there was a news piece about rfid chipping tests at tesco and other supermarkets. it was so they could more easily track products as they moved from manufacturing plants to distribution centers. then the supermarkets....it was on BBC News 24 channel sometime early last year. The report and interview with a store manager on the subject was aired only once in a lunch time news report then never shown again!!!
hope this helps
Peace be with you

Im about half way through the first part i think im going to download it and share with the family, your right it is disturbing im really considering what 21_12_2012 said and getting out the hammer and smashing the little buggers to bits! thank god i dont pay with credit cards or have thoes advantage cards.
I stuck a ton of stickers around sainsburys about 9 11 and how it should be investigated, in some real random places too, and a few days later they were gone now i know why and how they found them scary stuff indeed...

Yeah I'm not surprised they only aired it once! I think far more people need to be made aware of this subject, it's going to be on everything soon.

I wasn't aware of the Tesco chipping until I saw it on the Katherine Albreicht vids. Not nice to know these things are happening to us everyday without us even realising!

I've just had to renew my passport recently & am not happy that it's now chipped! They don't even tell us that this is the case until they've done it!

That's a good idea, I've also sent the link onto a few friends as well. Unfortunately I still have my credit card, but no more loyalty cards.

I like the stickers thing, but BB are ever watchful, cr@p :(

I have heard you can put the offending article in a microwave oven for a short while which will fry the chip, but be careful what you put in a microwave oven like food as they can be very bad for your health :)

Is the store where you bought it from or the manufacturer that puts these tags on though? I also heard Tescos are going to champion this spy rfdi crap.
Maybe a good reason to boycott tescos.

Hi,
Just checked out that link & found it very interesting. I hadn't even heard of these RFID things. Now you've all got me even more paranoid  - if that's possible.
I shall be shortly conducting a 'sweep' of my home & its contents.

I've found chips on certain items here in Australia too. These usually aren't expensive items, most just cheap corny stuff. That's wierd.
