Two-headed boy born in Bangladesh
A baby boy born with two heads in Bangladesh has been placed under police protection because of the curiosity his birth has caused among thousands of locals
The boy, named Kiron and weighing 12 lbs 1 oz, was born by Cesarean section on Monday at a clinic in Keshobpur, 85 miles from the capital, Dhaka.

But an estimated 150,000 people from the region descended on the clinic to try to catch sight of the boy so he was moved to a larger hospital. Police are now mounting a round-the-clock operation to protect him and his family from intrusion.

Dr Mohamad Abdul Bari, his mother's gynaecologist, said: "He has one stomach and he is eating normally with his two mouths. He has one genital organ and a full set of limbs.

"He was born from one embryo but there was a developmental anomaly."

The clinic had been unable to determine whether the baby had one or two sets of vital organs, Dr Bari said.

Kiron's life was not in immediate danger but he and his 22-year-old mother were moved to the hospital in the nearby city of Jessore city because of the large crowds that had gathered at the clinic, the doctor said.

"Around 150,000 people gathered yesterday from different areas. It became tough for us to care for the baby.

"We called police to tackle the situation and they are guarding the hospital in Jessore as well," he said.

The Samakal newspaper said that many well-wishers had left money for the baby's family.

He is a true Ettin :)

Description
An ettin has two heads, each of which is capable of independent thought, and each controls one arm for attacking. The left head directs the left arm and right head directs the right arm during combat. The two heads disagree constantly, but will work together when there is a common threat.

This isn't one child. They are conjoined twins. These twins have failed to seperate at the earlier stage of development and are the most extreme case that I have seen. That is because they appear to share one body. God bless them.

Two-Headed Baby Dies, Parents Couldn't Afford Medical Care

A two-headed baby born in Bangladesh on Monday has died after his parents took him home because they could not afford medical care, Agence France-Presse reported Thursday.

The boy, named Kiron, was born by Caesarean section at a clinic in Keshobpur, 85 miles from the Bangladesh capital of Dhaka. He weighed 12 pounds, 1 ounce.

Kiron was under police guard at the hospital because officials felt that the baby and his mother were at risk from the anxious crowd of 150,000 that had gathered to see him.

Those 'kids' could have had an awesome life. Just cause they were different, doesn't make them 'poor'.

If the child wasn't under police custody and the parents were smart enough to CHARGE people to view the baby in order to pay for its' health care, then it wouldn't have died.

It seems kind of retarded to have police guarding the child from others, only to let the baby go home to die shortly afterwards.

Talk about a piece of shit story.

To everyone involved: FAIL

I was a bit shocked by that comment too, I'd have thought the chances of having two babies with this condition would have been pretty rare

Anyhows, Hello from me :D

What's ur problem, buddy? Mine cant have others anyway, they are too old. If one doesnt go with the flow, he gets kicked, even on a forum supposedly for those open-minded. And yes, I hope those ppl not to have anymore kids since they cant afford minimum conditions to raise one.

Just how many parents in the developing world would be able to pay for the amount of care that this child would have needed?

These were exceptional circumstances.... not merely a case of a family having a child they couldn't afford to feed and clothe.

I personally don't think there is anything open minded in deciding who may or may not have children.

I dread to think what the world would be like if only the rich people were allowed to breed
