This film was one of the last roles for veteren English actor Dirk Bogarde. He plays a man who tries to blow the whistle on a mind-control cult which is trying to change the world through a new cable TV channel. It must have been the inspiration for its later pale imitator "Wild Palms" with James Belushi playing the same role.
